2/20/05: High Voltage (Beat Your Valentine Hype) - Milwaukee, WI

We are live at the SOLD OUT Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to bring you the aptly titled pay-per-view event, Beat Your Valentine! Welcome to the Pre-Game Show! Tonight is sure to be a huge night, with seven big matches, including four with championship gold at stake! You still have an hour left to order a show that you'll surely be kicking yourself over if you miss! But before we got to the big show, we had not one, but two matches for free here on High Voltage!

Match #1
Matt Morgan vs. Justin Credible

You almost have to feel bad for Justin Credible. I haven't seen him been this motivated in years with his attempts to make weight to earn a Cruiserweight Title shot, but despite all his hard work, he hasn't been able to get those pounds off. To make matters worse, he had to wrestle a man tonight who is about as far away from a cruiserweight as you can get, Matt Morgan. Morgan was having a great time in this one, bouncing Credible around the ring from great heights. That's the nice thing about being 7 foot tall and over 300 pounds - even the simplest of moves become that much more devastating. By the end of this match, Credible was tired of being bounced like a basketball and decided to take matters into his own hands, grabbing the scale he has been carrying around with the intentions of clocking Morgan with it. Morgan saw it coming though and nailed Credible with a big boot followed by the Choke Slam to get the win.

Matt Morgan pinned Justin Credible with the Choke Slam in 0:10:16.
Rating: *** 1/4

Another victory for Morgan, who is starting to pile them on. There are a lot of men with bright futures, but none may be brighter than Matt Morgan's.

Match #2
Rob Conway vs. Steve Bradley

One more match on the pre-game show, and oh boy, not a good night to be Rob Conway. If it's even possible, Steve Bradley has shown himself to be meaner than ever, and Conway was simply the next victim in Bradley's reign of terror. Bradley came out fast and furious catching Conway off guard. Conway mustered a bit of offense, but it wasn't enough to get him back into this match as Bradley polished him off with the Smashmouth.

Steve Bradley pinned Rob Conway with the Smashmouth in 0:04:27.
Rating: ***

Not a good week for Rob Conway to say the least. Steve Bradley continues his winning ways. Could this be a sign of things to come for Team Angle tonight?

The next segment was a strange one as we saw Abyss by himself sort of wandering around the corridors of the Bradley Center. We suddenly hear a "whoooooooosh!" and flying into the scene is The Hurricane. In classic superhero style, The Hurricane told Abyss that he was his own man, and that he didn't have to be bossed around by John Bradshaw Layfield, Shaniqua, or anybody anymore. The Man In Green basically gave Abyss a huge pep talk, trying to build up the monster's confidence. When The Hurricane asked Abyss if he enjoyed hearing the cheers of the fans, right then the Basham Brothers and Shaniqua ran in and proceeded to put the boots to The Hurricane, throwing him head first into the wall and leaving him down and out on the hallway floor. Shaniqua was not at all happy with Abyss for wandering around the arena by himself, and let him know with a nice hard slap across the face. At that point, we cut back to Joey O'Donnell and Brian Wagner for the final hype for the pay-per-view.
