Years later the X-Men had captured Sabretooth and were trying to help him with his unstable mind. An ex-New Mutant and X-Force member Tabitha Smith (aka Boomer/Boom Boom/Meltdown) would bring him food and chat with him on a daily basis. During one of their meetings Sabretooth began taunting Tabitha, making her angry, she responded using her mutant powers against him (Tabitha has the ability to create explosive energy), instead of her powers hurting Creed it only set him free from his restraints.
Before Sabretooth was able to lay his hands on Tabitha, Psylocke steps in. Demonstrating her dream to protect those she cares for she valiantly fought Sabretooth, sadly in the end..Sabretooth beat her down, leaving her for dead. Archangel found Psylocke laying in Tabitha's arms.
While Psylocke was in intensive care, Archangel teamed up with Wolverine and sought out Dr. Strange's help. With his help they used an elixir from another dimension known as the "Crimson Dawn" from the ebon vein to restore Psylocke's health, it was successful but there was consequences that came with the life saving force.
Psylocke now had a red tattoo over her left eye and gained a new ability, but lost something along the way... |
