Imprisoned Mind
When it first begins
You think all the world's a stage
Upon which you habe been chosen to play
Then it turns to a curse
All attention turns to you
And never looks away
No longer a stage upon which you play
Now a prison stands alone in your way
Bars restrain you from escaping
Pains unvoiced throb in your body
Your heads bobs as you close your eyes
Imaging a world where you roam free
Nothing to hold you in
Why me, you ask as your fantasy slips away
Don't you see, they ask over and over
What is there to see when all I feel is me?
One day, they say shaking their heads and walking away
You throw yourself against the bars
Stars glitter in your vision as dizziness sets in
You could've been something, you realize
Had you not been imprisoned in your own mind
