St. Patrick�s Day celebrated at Harvey�s in Riverside!!! March 2009
St. Patrick�s Day is just around the corner, however we celebrated it in Red Hat style on the 6th at Harvey�s Restaurant. As we paraded through the front of the restaurant we had lots of �lookers��you�d have thought they had never seen Red Hatters before!!! I even had one waitress say, �So this is what the Red Hat is all about�with a smile on her face!!� And I know she was wishing she could toss her apron aside and slap on a Red Hat and join us!!! This is how you recruit new Red HattersJ Once they see how much enjoyment we have!!
We had a fantastic waitress who took the orders of all 50 of our ladies and within a few minutes the food we ordered was sitting in front of us. It was amazing�what service!! And there was so much food there were quite a few doggy boxes going out the door when we left.
After lunch the rest of the day was filled with Irish jokes, stories and songs. We had a great day as usual�always nice to be with friends, laughing and playing!!
The announcements were about May 9th� The day starts out with the MS Walk again this year (starting at the Shelter down by the river front)�we will walk towards the Boat. There will be a continental breakfast before the Walk and a light lunch upon return.There are door prizes and just a fun day for all!
There is also a Red Hat function �Laugh Your Hat�s Off� again this year at Sgt. Bluff Family Center on April 7th. Tickets are $25.00 for a evening meal starting at 5:30; proceeds go to the women�s shelter.
We will be going to IHOP for breakfast next month on April 3rd at 8 a.m.
