Worlds without end, part 2
The Rattlers asume their assault on the 3 Skyhawks under Lady Jaye's command. They all get shot, but the AVAC's manage to reach safety thanks to a handy thingy called a parachute. However, another squad of Rattlers appear on scene and the Squad Leader transmits the coordinats to Destro. He activates some kind of net from the Washington Memorial and traps the three puny GI Joe craft, together with their pilots.

Meanwhile Flint at the other 2 Joes escape from the Dreadnoks. Zartan himself gets involved, and the Joes are pursuited by 2 Cobra FANG's.
Okay, after this, this episode doesn't make much more sense to me. Lady Jaye and the two others are 'tortured' by Cobra Commander and manage to free themselves while being strangled to death by robotic snaked and, giving Cobra Commander a good kick as they do so.
Steeler, who has been stung by some weird-looking insect in Part I, loses it and runs out of the base to find some skeletons. The Baroness, who kept an eye on him, manages to show up also and informs Grunt and Steeler that she is actually a double agent, spying for GI Joe. She also sets up Destro and Cobra Commander against each other, each gathering their loyal men up and thus creating the diversion for the Joes to escape back to their dimension.
This 2-part episode wavers from the classic line of Cobra being pushed back in a corner every time, but in my eyes, it's just too much sci-fi and heroic nonsense. There's alot of diversity in Worlds without end, but in general, I wouldn't give this too much credit. However, AVAC's appear in this small saga, so that makes up for it a bit.
