Worlds without end, part 1
This episode starts in some kind of facility, where Zartan, dressed as a security guard (guess he forgot to wipe off his face paint, or whatever that is), and the Dreadnoks steal a device called the matter transmuter and the blueprints. After that, they are driven in a Cobra Water Moccasion -piloted by Copperhead- to the Redwood base.
Zartan isn't impressed by Copperhead's vehicle and switches to glider transport while the other Dreadnoks find a spiffy Cobra Stinger. However, Zartan gets shot down by Flint and the other Dreadnoks seem to have run away. Knew they were no good. Cobra managed to hold the matter transmuter but the blueprints are now in GI Joe's hands. Cobra Commander favors a retreat with some kind of huge missile he managed to hide inside a tree.
With some help of the Baroness, Zartan manages to outsmart GI Joe and Copperhead makes another appearance trying to get back the blueprints from Steeler, who comes to the aid of Flint and Lady Jaye. Steeler kicks Copperhead's hand holding the transmuter and the device fires.
This causes, at first glance, the whole enviroment to change and the Joes are plunged into unconsienceness. When they wake up, everything is changed, and the green landscape has turned into a desert. The party wakes up and decides to find some signs of life when Cobra CLAWS herd the Joes into a cave with some very clumsy shooting.
After finding motorised transportation, they stumble on their own base, which by now is totally deserted and in a state of badly needing a cleaning lady or 2. It starts to dawn on them that they are not on earth anymore, but in some paralell dimension where Cobra rules the US and GI Joe is the underground movement. Lady Jaye takes control of 3 Skyhawks and decides to do some reconaissance. Meanwhile Airtight, Barbeque and Flint head into Washington DC to do some 'finding-out'.
Lade Jaye's small sky patrol is getting company as Cobra Rattlers engage the three Skyhaws. The screen freezes just as the Cobra missiles are about to hit home and the text 'To be continued ...' appears.
