When were you diagnosed? I was diagnosed with CP 13 months after birth What was the cause? I was born 4 weeks premature and I had to be put on oxygen right away. In my birth records it says the cause may have been that the oxygen was too rich What type of CP do you have? Spastic Do you/did you have any special insturments used for support? When I was little, I used a walker, and then crutches and leg braces for muscule support until about 4th grade Are you required to do any special excersises? Not anymore. I used to go to Physical Therapy sessions on a regular basis up until I was 7. However, I still stretch from time to time to releive tension in my muscules Do you have an education? *stares* yeah...(I'm not a total idiot lol). I'm not in any special type of education class. Have you had any operations? 4 (2 were on my eyes, 2 were on my legs) Any special devices used in recoperation? Where to begin??? There was a wedge, casts, crutches, pills, ect. ect. You get the picture Have you gotten in any shots? Yes. (No comment on where) Do you handle pain very well? I can take it. Just get it over and done with Any scars from operations? OH YEAH! (Again no comment on where) What was recoperation for you like? It was a TOUGH time. My muscules were still healing and it hurt just about every time I took a step. Do you ever wish you didn't have a disability/wish you were like everyone else? Yes. But I have to work with what I was given.
