MayDay, 2004
Kudos to a small, yet dedicated group of students who gave up their Saturday to come in and do a DNA Fingerprinting Lab as an extention to the "Who Killed Mr.D" murder mystery back in October. Students followed professional forensics lab procedures and used real DNA to compare DNA samples between the crime scene and suspects.

Way to Go Sarah, Allison, Donnie, Geoff, Tyler, Neyma, Steven, Aleecia, Alvena, Konrad, and Derek. You guys Rock!
"ok, you nucleotides, come ta papa!" Sarah and Allison "introduce" the DNA to the enzymes. Is there any chemistry between the reagents?
The boys extract the DNA samples from the stock solutions.
Next step, the samples are put into color-coded capsules and enzymes are added.
Steven and Aleecia secure the "packages"
When DNA hurls ..."Buwauuuuuaggghh..."
Next, the samples are prepared for incubation.
Neyma and Tyler use the centrifuge to get "to the bottom" of the DNA.
DNA should get a "charge" outta this.
What's so incredible is that they are doing this blind-folded!
Geoff pours the buffer solution into the electrophoresis chamber.
"this won't hurt a bit. It may hurt alot, ..but not a bit."
Tyler's hand carefully  deposits the DNA from the capsule Neyma holds on its way to the electrophoresis chamber.
I'm dyin'.....I'm rrrrrreally dyin'!
Allison deposites the DNA into tiny wells with in the chamber and gets ready to "throw the switch".
Donnie really pours it on (the DNA stain) on to the Gel after it's "Zapped" in the electrophoresis chamber
