| Sailor Pluto Anime Information
Sailor Moon R
Sailor Pluto, a timeless warrior with elegance and grace appeared in the
Sailor Moon R series. Rini (Chibi Usa) fell ill fighting a dream demon
sent by the dark moon family. With the sailor scouts looking over their
ill friend, Sailor Pluto appeared in Rini's Luna P ball. She asked the
scouts to go into Rini's dream world and defeat the demon. After they
destroyed the demon, Rini asked Sailor Pluto if it was alright to go home,
Sailor Pluto told her that things were still bad in the future and to stay
with the sailor scouts where its safe. Sailor Pluto also told Serena to
never surrender the silver crystal. Sailor Pluto was seen again when Rini
took the sailor scouts and co. to the future. This is where the scouts saw
Sailor Pluto's domain, a foggy and dark area with a set of white doors or
gates standing in the middle of nowhere. Sailor Pluto's first encounter
with Sailor Moon was with her swinging her Garnet Rod (a key shaped staff)
at Sailor Moon's head. Sailor Pluto thought that she was a trespasser but
when the fog cleared, she saw Sailor Moon and quickly apologized. Rini
apologized for bringing the scouts but Sailor Pluto smiled warmly at Rini
and said that she was proud of her. Sailor Pluto then opened the gates of
time and told the scouts how to reach the other side. When the scouts
asked her if she could come, Sailor Pluto told them that her place was
guarding the gates of time. Luna told the scouts when Queen Serenity
talked about Sailor Pluto, the solitary solder forever guarding the gates
of time. The scouts felt honored on meeting this mysterious and lonely
sailor scout.
Sailor Moon S
Sailor Pluto reappears at a critical time in the series. She introduces
her self as Setsuna then later transforms into Sailor Pluto. She teams up
with Sailor Uranus and Neptune to fulfill their mission to stop the
"silence" from coming. The outer scouts also had a few sub missions like
to stop the awakening of Sailor Saturn, they feared her ability to destroy
planets and the evil that possessed Saturn. Pluto's job in the SMS series
was simple, she mostly observed or studied the enemy and fight with Uranus
and Neptune. Pluto's mission also added a little discord with the inner
sailor scouts and Sailor Chibi Moon because she helped them in the SMR
series. During another critical time near the end of the series, the three
outer scouts were in a helicopter heading towards Mugen School. Demons
surrounding the school attacked the helicopter causing it to explode. In
order to save Sailor Uranus and Neptune, Sailor Pluto stopped time (which
is forbidden in the Manga, but not explained in the Anime). This was
Pluto's short role in this series.
Sailor Moon Stars
Sailor Pluto returns with baby Hotaru, when glass shards forming Neherenia
parodies were attacking Sailor Uranus and Neptune. The outer scouts start
fighting the parodies until one was about to attack baby Hotaru, but her
powers blasted energy at the parody. Then the outer scouts received their
new powers, this is when Sailor Pluto became Super Sailor Pluto. With her
super enhanced powers, Pluto with the other outer scouts had a new
mission, which is to protect Princess Serena and Prince Darien. Near the
end of the series, Near the end of the series, Pluto was killed when
Sailor Uranus and Neptune took both her star seed Sailor Saturn's star
seed from their bodies. She came back to life after Princess Serena
defeated Chaos and all of the star seeds were returned to their original
owners. Setsuna is last seen sitting with the other outer scouts looking
at the stars.
