Here's a poem a fan sent to us: LET'S GO HOG WILD!!!

The summer sun is shining, the skies are blue and clear,
Come and join the Schullers. We'll tap a keg of beer.
"CRIME SCENE" is the band, we're their latest gig.
You bring a favorite side dish. Jerry will roast the pig.

Time to kick up your heels; sing, dance, and let down your hair.
Relax on your blanket or in your favorite lawn chair.
We'll have a guest of honor. We think he's pretty nifty.
Let's toast our good friend, Roger, cuz on the 9th he's turning 50.

If you bring your bat and glove, we'll play a game of ball.
We sure hope that you'll come. Please give Janell a call.

LETTER FROM A FAN

I just wanted to send you all a note to say thank you for all of your efforts in support of my project. It was a real pleasure getting to know all of you better during our session and a wonderful experience to see the creative process come to completion in the studio. You guys are fantastic musicians and I was inspired to be around such knowledge and experience. I hope to work with all of you again in the future. What I enjoyed most about the experience was just hanging out and being surrounded by people who love and appreciate music as much as I do if not more. I also wanted to let you know that my girlfriend made an mp3 of the song for me that I have since forwarded via email to the radio stations that responded to my initial letter. When I got home from work yesterday I had discovered that a third station 106.1 KISS fm had also responded with a request to hear the recording. In addition, I have send a hard copy of the CD to a long list of local radio stations as well as a few on the east coast. I have also sent off an application and copy to the Library of Congress in order to gain a copyright on the project. I will keep all of you posted. So far the tune has been extremely well received by all who have listened. My family has also been sharing with as many people as they can. My mother said that 2 people at work actually cried when they heard it! People are also very interested in who you guys are. Jay, your solo has received high praise and Paul, your work in the 3rd verse and the end where what started the waterworks with folks my mom works with and comments by all who have listened, "Great ending!" is the most popular statement. I really could not have completed this project without each and every one of you and I will be forever grateful for your help and constant support in fulfilling my dream to actually write a song and see it through to completion with music in a recording studio. I think the best thing to come out of this experience is to hear my father tell me for the first time that he is really proud of me for something specific that I have accomplished. He even held back on commenting on the rough parts where I was flat or unable to sustain the notes and only commented briefly after I mentioned it which for my father was a huge surprise. Anyway, I'm sorry it has taken so long to write but I have been exhausted with work and getting the promotion letters and CDs ready to mail. School starts for me again on the 24th so my life will be getting somewhat back in order and the best news ever is that my husband John's unit has been officially pulled off alert status as of 8:30 this morning!
p.s. Your recording of When It's Raining was awesome! Amanda and I listened and where singing along all the way home on Sunday. If you don't mind, I will share that tune with others that are interested in hearing some of your work. Thanks again for everything! Your friend in Music and always,
Laura D.
