| The following three quilts were made to decorate the walls of the Michael Rice Units in South Australia. These are units that are provided for families that have children with cancer. These units are provided free of charge to the families and it was an effort to make them seem more homely and more like a home. The Quilters Guild of South Australia provided bed quilts for all 5 units and I made three wall hangings to decorate the walls. |

| The patterns came from a book named Once Upon a Fairy Tale and there are still some quilts from that book that I dearly want to make!!!!! Above is the Princess and the Pea and to the right is the quilt Thumbelina. Below is Rapunzel. I really enjoyed making these quilts and the children really like them too. |

| Well here is what the Janes are waiting to see! This is my Dear Jane quilt so far. I finished the 169 blocks in the week before The Bower Cottages Exhibition where I started making the triangle border. So far I have made half of them....26. You might wonder about the setting of the picture. It is acting as an altar frontal for the side altar at St Lukes Church Modbury where I was a Lay Assistant until November 2001. I finished sewing the last row on Jane in that church and the Priest decided that he liked it so much we would turn her into an altar frontal for the Eucharist that evening. My only fear is that he might want an altar frontal made of blocks 4.5 inches square! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This is Fr Mark Sibly the priest of St Lukes Church Modbury wearing a stole I made for his birthday three years ago. It has grapes and butterflies coming out from a wooden cross at the nape of the neck (on the back)... the grapes symbolise the Eucharist and the butterflies symbolise New Creation or Creation. I won't tell you how old he was on this birthday!!!!!! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
