Kevin was always a caring and loving kind of boy. He always tried to make firends; even though some people wouldn't take him the way he was. He was a boy who was himself; he didn't try to be like others or do things others did just to fit in w/ them. T ere were people who didn't like Kevin, but if they would have just given him a chance they would have. Now that Kevin is not physically here that doesn't mean he isn't spiritually. I believe in algels and I also believe that Kevin is here right by all o us each and everyday.

Melissa, you are truly an inspiration. I think about you and Kevin often. I don't know the exact words to say to you, but I do want you to know how much you have touched my heart. You have raised Kevin and Jonathon in a Godly home and kept the boys active in sports and family activities. That almost seems like too much to ask in this day and age of the upwardly mobile parents too busy with their own lives to spend time with their kids. You've done a great job and will continue to do so. Kevin was not my so , but as a mother I ache for you and still cry when thoughts of this tragic accident enter my mind. You were determined even after Kevin's death to make it through the nursing program and most of the time instead of consoling you, you were consoling me, because of my grades. I think that it is wonderful that even thru you're hardest times that you celebrate Kevin. So many of us deal with tragedy by putting it away in a corner of our heart to keep it there, hidden instead of embracing what was before the tragedy--life.
