Think About It
Written by: Cricket

When a young one gives a talk,
And you cringe at each slaughtered word,
Think of all the friends,
Who a young speaker never heard.
Think about it . . .

When a sister gives a talk,
And she struggles through her lines,
Think of all the friends,
Who must tiptoe by land mines.
Think about it . . .

When a brother gives a talk,
And the point he does miss,
Think of all the friends,
Who have never known a brotherly kiss.
Think about it . . .

When a song is hard to sing,
And no one hits the notes,
Think of all the friends,
Who row to meeting in boats.
Think about it . . .

When the prayer drags on,
And your thoughts start to roam,
Think of all the friends,
Who must say their prayers alone.
Think about it . . .
