Matt Leyshon - ex-C.C.C. Captain
Invited to play for CCC only if he brought along his stunning girlfriend, Anna. 'Matty' went on to become number one strike bowler and successful captain. One of a rare bread of true gentlemen hailing from the Land of Oz. Left arm, wayward swing bowler, who kept the keeper busy and reduced batsmen to 'swatting flies'. Some talent as a batsmen, but a penchant for 'beach cricket' resulted in all his runs and dismissals being dependant upon the ability of the opposition's deep square leg. Married the lovely Anna and was consequently deported back to Oz where he became a student again. Now a father and presumably qualified enough to find a job.
Peter Dixon - ex-C.C.C. Captain
Pugnacious middle order batsman and swing bowler who had a short stint at captaincy. Played the game in a 'gung-ho' fashion and never hung about in his crease or Hongkong. Departed to Singapore soon afterwards. Last seen at a moneychanger trying to swap monopoly notes for US dollars. A friend of Nick Leison and currently resides in the 'Where is he now' file.
Bernard Poon - aka. "Ironman"
Once was the whole C.C.C. localization policy.  Mastered the art of quickish, wrong-footed leg spin before Warney has.  An all-round athelete (which is now why he is not qualified to play for C.C.C.) who became the first ever Chinese Ironman.  More likely to be seen running around the island or at the back of a bus than sharing a beer with the C.C.C. lot.
Anthony Slack - aka. "Slacky"
The quiet man of C.C.C. Played in the true English spirit. Easily upset by antics of opponents that stray from the Geneva Convention. Supported by his loyal wife and towel lady, Evon, 'Slacky' was a valuable all-rounder in some of C.C.C.'s leaner years. Presumed a great thinker of the game until he bowled a short pitch ball to a tail ender, when the opposition needed six to win off the last ball, on a narrow ground (KGV). His comment, 'Thought I would surprise him' is one of his most memorable. Now back in UK, a proud father (at least he got that one right).
Peter White - aka. "The Great White Shark"
Aptly name 'Shark' after fellow countryman, 'The Great White Fish Finger'. Another one our players from the Judiciary. Peter played as a middle order batsman for many years until discovering the art of slow bowling. Well on the way to 100 victims (umpiring, naturally) before cutting his career short, the Shark now patrols the beach at Stanley. With one or two memorable last over hauls and a few good knocks, selective memory may yet bring him out retirement.
Animesh Kulkarni
Bowler of the year 1999/2000 - deceived plenty of batsmen with his combined off spin/leg break action and not turning a millimetre.  A great team man who brought on his son, brother-in-law (Gopal P.) and other quality players when we are (always) short of players.  Having such skill in personnel management he decided to have a team of his own and now is the founder of the Sub. Cont. cricket team, and will make its debut in the 2002/2003 Saturday League.
Martin Darke - aka. "Alfie Noakes", "Jack Nicholson Noadkes" - ex-C.C.C. Captain
Extraordinary right hand opening bat, who you could go to sleep opening with, until he suddenly expoded into assault. Amazing to umpire as he blocked 5 straight ones then hit the 6th, exactly the same ball, for 6. Most famous episode for C.C.C. was singlehandly winning the game against the Nomads at Sookunpoo 3 days before X'Mas - "From the Sidelines".  Appearing after a 'long long lunch", Nomads, league winning team, were starting to bat against an average C.C.C. total of 110, Alfie, complete with Santa Claus outfit and bell proceeded to chant "C.C.C." and various other ditties non stop from the boundary continuously whilst Nomads went to the slaughter one by one, 80 all out.  A win never to be forgotten, from a character that "fitted perfectly into the C.C.C. mould".
Ted Helsby
Left for Malaysia. Ted played a handful of games for C.C.C. and never was sufficiently settled at work to concentrate on his cricket.  Elegant bat in the mould of David Gower.  Should have made 100 every week.
Peter Fitzgerarld
Great right hand opening bat who embraced the true spirit of C.C.C.  Erratic quick all over the place bowler whose run up came down to two paces as the knees deteriorated.  Would have starred in C.C.C.'s line up for many years as part of the youth policy, but with damaged knees we sent him packing back to Australia for long term recuperation.
