CCC 231 off 35 which wasn't enough for Grocer but he doesn't really understand the domestic game. The opposition had a lot of good Pakistanis and their opening attack was quick, just not up to the experience and ability of the Berger and Stead.
We opened with Raymondo and Jet. Both bowled well - Jet with luck, Raymondo without. Jet struck in the first over but was a bit expensive at 5 for 27. On the other hand Ahmed's 5 for 4 was the sort of bowling a captain expects. Berger made it 2:1 by taking a catch but the highlight was G Docherty behind the stumps with a classic Howsss... where is it? as a big knick went to ground - suitably heavily fined you will all be glad. DBS with Louis Chan, Maurice Ling, Mohammad and Haider were all out for 71 - it must rate as one of CCC's most clinical performances. BTW I didn't have the details of Nasir's 100 on Thursday - 76 balls, 3 x 6's, 17 x 4's in 71 minutes - not a bad 1st ever century - he will remember his first game with CCC - he owes $120 match fee.
