Music: Main "Gall Force" theme. The college student sat at the computer, rubbing her weary eyes, and wondering, not for the first time, why she had chosen this topic to write her psychology paper on. Her professor had stared at her as though he thought she were either insane or a bubblehead when she'd asked him about it, but had consented. She'd thought it would be fun. Or *funny*, at least. But like most things since she'd left childhood behind, it was just a lot of work. Cracking her knuckles, she returned to work, typing up the report from her notes. "One of the most puzzling aspects of the accounts of alien abduction is the phenomenon of missing time. Often, the "victims" of alien abduction will claim to have suddenly realized that a lengthy duration has passed without their realizing it, and then "remember", with the assistance of hypnosis, that they were abducted. Of course, Occam's Razor would tend to suggest that it is far more likely that the "victim" simply lost track of time, and then was prompted to "remember" the details of the abuction by the hypnotist -- possibly in an unconscious way for both. "Related to this is the experience of "othertime". The "victim" claims, in such cases, to have experienced a flood of memories of a life, recognizable as the "victim's" own, but which did not occur. It is intriguing to note that in Japan, at least, this phenomenon is more common than that of missing time, and that all known cases date from a specific date in 1985. She even knew, personally, a few people who'd claimed to have fleeting memories of a life they'd lived beginning in that year, during which they had watched as Tokyo was invaded by malevolent aliens. Almost universally, the memories ended with the "deaths" of the people involved. The nations' psychologists were at a loss to explain it, and mentioning it *could* conceivably interfere with her grade. It was never wise to point out a failing in one's discipline. So she shrugged, and decided to delete the offending paragraph. After all, it made no difference to her. It was all nonsense. Even though she had only been sixteen years old in 1985, she ... ... she ... ... she ... ... remembered. She pushed her chair away from the desk with a violent motion, then looked around at the walls of her room, her face almost panicked, her eyes wide, and her breaths coming like gasps. A moment later, she was on her feet, and a moment after that, she was out of her small apartment. She ran blindly, yet deep in her soul, she knew exactly where she was going. Night had already fallen as she ran through the streets of the neighborhood where she had grown up, where her parents still lived, and where ... ... TWICE ... She came to the tree, and as clear as her memories of her last meal, she remembered *HER*, standing there, gazing at her with those sad eyes. TWICE. With all the passion she had, the student lifted her head and screamed at the night sky. "ICZER-ONE!!!" And the night whispered her name. "Nagisa ..." Love Story: Iczer One Zeta Coming Soon.
