Ivanova asked as she stood with Eiko in the departure lounge. "To Narn, first, and then ... I don't know," the red-haired demigoddess replied. "Maybe I'll hear a rumour there, a lead to where she is. It could happen." The boarding call for the freighter that Eiko had booked passage on came, and Eiko flashed a quick grin. "And if nothing else, those guys are definitely in need of ... a friend. Doyesvedan'ya, Susan. Stay well." "You too," Ivanova replied, her eyes momentarily wet. "And tell her," Eiko said quickly. "Tell her before it's too late. I didn't. And that was the worst mistake I ever made." And then she was walking towards the security station. The last child of long-dead Krypton, and of Themyscria ... the last scion of a time when titans had walked the Earth. And all she wanted out of her life was to find a person who had, three centuries earlier, captured her heart forever. "What was her name?" Ivanova called out impulsively. "If I ever hear a rumor about her, I'll be sure to let you know." For a moment, she wondered if Eiko had heard her. And then, just before she stepped through the gate, she turned to give Ivanova a sad, quiet smile. "Biiko. Daitokuji Biiko." Maggin's novel "Superman: Last Son of Krypton".) 1938 Kal-El born on Krypton Krypton explodes, but various people escape the explosion in various ways; Kal-El is rocketed to Earth by his father, Jor-El. Due to time dilation, a three hour trip for Kal-El takes twelve years for the rest of the universe. 1945 Bruce Wayne is born. 1947 Steve Trevor is born. 1950 Lex Luthor is born. Kal-El arrives on Earth; due to the intervention of a passing Albert Einstein, he is adopted by Johnathan and Martha Kent, and given the name Clark. Lois Lane is born. Bruce Wayne's parents are murdered. Princess Diana of the Amazons is "born". 1956 First construction at the future site of Graviton City, a French possession in the South Pacific, originally slated for nuclear testing. 1959 Kara Zor-El is born on Argo. Dick Grayson is born. 1960 Barbara Gordon is born. 1963 Clark Kent first adopts the Superboy costume, in December. 1966 The incident wherein Lex Luthor loses his hair and much of his soul, developing a psychopathic hatred of Superboy in the process. 1968 Deaths of Johnathan and Martha Kent, shortly before the eighteenth anniversary of Clark's arrival on Earth. 1970 First formal appearance of Superman, in Metropolis. The Batman begins activities in Gotham City. 1972 Steve Trevor crashlands on Paradise Island, prompting Princess Diana to be sent into the World of the Patriarch to champion Amazon values, as Wonder Woman. First meeting of Superman with Wonder Woman. Death of Dick Grayson's parents; Dick is taken in as the ward of Bruce Wayne. 1973 First appearance of Robin. 1974 First meeting of Superman with Batman and Robin. 1973 Argo's population dies of Kryptonite poisoning, but Kara Zor-El is sent to Earth. Due to time dilation, the journey takes two years, objectively, and minutes subjectively. 1975 Kara arrives on Earth, and is placed in an orphanage by Superman. 1977 Public debut of Supergirl. 1978 Barbara Gordon begins her career as Batgirl, recieving training from Batman and Robin. First meeting of Batgirl and Supergirl. 1983 Lois Lane breaks off her relationship with Superman. Dick Grayson retires as Robin. Lex Luthor's relationship with Misa Daitokuji, wife of Japanese financier Hikaru Daitokuji, begins. 1984 Wonder Woman finally realizes that Steve Trevor is a bondage enthusiast and masochist, and gently breaks off her relationship with him. 1985 The Crisis. Supergirl gives her life to save the universe. In the aftermath, Clark and Diana finally admit their attraction to one another, and are married shortly afterwards, setting up civilian identities in Los Angeles as Kent and Himeko Magami. Barbara Gordon retires as Batgirl. 1986 Eiko Magami is born. Biiko Daitokuji, actually the daughter of Lex and Misa, is born. The Second Princess of the Third Queen of the Lepton Kingdom of Alpha Cygnae is born. Hikaru Daitokuji learns of his wife's infidelity, and arranges an attempt on Lex Luthor's life ... which fails dramatically. Lex goes into hiding, allowing people to believe that he's dead. The starship carrying the Princess crashes on Earth, destroying Graviton City, yet miraculously not killing anyone on board the ship. The Princess is found and adopted by Gendou and Yui Kotobuki, of Graviton City, and given the name Shiko. 1988 Superman, realizing that he must be a full-time parent to Eiko, retires. The Magami family moves to Graviton City. 1989 Misa Daitokuji dies of alcohol poisoning. Barbara Gordon is shot by the Joker, paralyzing her from the waist down. 1991 Eiko, Biiko, and Shiko begin kindergarten. Biiko torments Shiko, until Eiko rescues her, earning Shiko's eternal admiration. As the year progresses, Biiko and Eiko's struggles become more personal, involving Shiko less and less except as an object which they contest over. Eiko's superhuman strength manifests for the first time, witnessed by Shiko and her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Kotobuki persuade (blackmail) Eiko's parents into letting them accompany the Megami family as they move out of town. 1992- Eiko and Shiko live around the world. During this time, Eiko's 2000 powers of superhuman speed develop, and she recieves training in armed and unarmed combat from her mother and from Bruce Wayne, her godfather. The Kotobuki family is able to spoil Shiko rotten, living off of (extorting from) the Megami family's generosity. Biiko recruits her henchmen, and discovers her natural talent for mecha design. Her father discovers it as well, and begins to steal the designs for use by the Daitokuji Zaibatsu, which becomes a major contractor for the United Nations Space Defense Force. 1996 Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon marry. 1997 Kara Grayson is born. 2002 Eiko and Shiko move to Graviton City. Events of Project A-Ko 1, 2, and 3. 2003 Events of Project A-Ko 4. Shiko's insistence that Eiko and Biiko stop their feud (her condition for remaining on Earth) stops the fighting for a total of two months. The fights never build to their previous intensity, however. Eiko develops the ability to fly on her seventeenth birthday, further alienating Shiko. <"Flight"> Shiko spends Christmas on Alpha Cygnae to punish Eiko for "ignoring" (not devoting every waking moment to) her. Eiko and Biiko begin to grow closer. <"A Gift"> 2004 The developing friendship between Eiko and Biiko is cut short when Biiko discovers her true parentage, as well as Eiko's. <"Daddy Dearest"> The fights resume. 2005 Luthor makes his continued existance known to Clark (and, incidentally, to Diana). <"Old Friends"> During their high school graduation, Shiko announces that she will be leaving Earth, and never returning. This prompts a huge fight between Eiko and Biiko which wrecks most of Graviton School for Girls. Shiko then announces that she has changed her mind, only to be angrily rejected by both Eiko and Biiko, who inadvertantly reveals her feelings for Eiko. Shiko leaves Earth, never to return. Biiko flees Graviton City for parts unknown. Eiko starts to look for her. 2018 The so-called "Machine Weapon Incident" prompts the United Nations Space Defense Force to cease all use of humanoid mecha. 2061 First permanent lunar colony established. 2075 Earth Alliance is formed as a political and economic association for the colonization of Mars. 2080 A Johns Hopkins medical study confirms the existance of telepaths. 2099 A terrorist attack destroys the dome of the Mars colony, killing the civillian population. c.2100 The Lepton Kingdom of Alpha Cygni disintegrates in civil war, caused by issues of cloning and an idol singer. All known members of the royal family are liquidated within months of the war's beginning. Sic transit molestia mundi. 2107 The United Nations dissolves. 2122 Earth Alliance formally assumes the role of Earth's governmental structure, although some nations remain outside its jurisdiction. 2150 New colonists begin to make the Mars colony a viable settlement once more. 2155 Humanity's first contact with the Centauri. The Centauri claims of being the ancestors of humanity are not taken even remotely seriously. 2161 Psi-Corps is founded. 2165 Earth's first extra-solar colony is founded on Proxima Centauri 3. [Note: Despite the name, the Centauri are *not* native to the Centauri (Earth nomenclature) star system.] 2200 First request by the Mars colony for independance from Earth is pointedly ignored. 2230 Earth becomes involved on the side of the Non-Alligned Worlds in the Dilgar War. 2245 Earth's first contact with the Minbari goes *remarkably* poorly. 2247 The Minbari stop just on the brink of wiping out the human race when certain things are discovered. I'm not going to tell you *all* JMS' secrets.] 2249 The Babylon Project is proposed by the Earth Alliance, and agreed to by the Narn, Centauri, Minbari, and Non-Alligned Worlds, all of whom show a marked lack of knowledge of how *jinxed* the word "Babylon" is. 2250 Babylon 1 destroyed before completion. 2251 Babylon 2 destroyed before completion. 2252 Babylon 3 destroyed before completion. 2254 Babylon 4 completed ... and disappears without trace. 2256 Babylon 5 completed, largely thanks to Minbari investment, given in exchange for the right to choose the station's commander, one Jeffrey David Sinclair. 2257 The Vorlons begin to move once more. 2258 Eiko visits Babylon 5, still searching for Biiko, whom she maintains is still alive. She is instrumental in saving the station from an attack by an automated Lepton dreadnought. 2260 She finds her.
