Chris's Life

As you can tell if you have checked out much of my writing, my main interests are law, politics, and journalism. My interests in those areas focus on a variety of topics, including civil rights and liberties (from the First Amendment to LGBT equality) and ethics, as well as health issues (ranging from drug and alcohol abuse to mental health).

I am a second-year lawyer in Columbus, Ohio, after having graduated in 2005 from Ohio State University's Moritz College of Law. While there, I served as Editor-in-Chief of the Ohio State Law Journal and was very involved in many aspects of student life at the school. I also blogged for three years -- maintaining Law Dork and participating as one of several law students at En Banc and then De Novo.

I was a Copy Editor for the Tribune Chronicle in Warren, Ohio, for two years before law school, where I was responsible for editing local stories and laying out pages -- as well as serving as the editorial writer for the paper for a six-month period. I am a cum laude political science graduate of Youngstown State University with minors in journalism and sociology.

Before that, I spent three years in Washington, D.C., at American Unviersity, as well as volunteering, interning, and working at a variety of places. They included -- most notably -- the White House, U.S. Senate, and Human Rights Campaign.
