Breeding and Showing double registered Tennessee Walking Horses/Spotted Saddle Horses. We raise flat-shod, pleasure horses and are proud members of STARS (the Sound Trail and Rail Society, Inc.) and the National Walking Horse Assoc. We take pride in promoting the sound, flat-shod walking horse and support sound, natural trainers, farriers, breeders and others associated with the wonderful gaited horses. Now that the National Walking Horse Association has their tracking registry up and running, we have registered all of our horses with NWHA and support NWHA affiliated shows and events to promote the sound, humane training and exhibition of the wonderful, kind and beautiful Tennessee Walking Horse. We believe that our show horses should be able to be ridden on the trails and compete in versatility events and be turned out in the field to play - activities which are restricted when built up pads and other mechanical training devices are used.
Thunder. To the best we can determine, he was born in 1981 and is a georgous Palomino walking gelding. He was starving back on Christmas Eve in 1998 when we went and got him. We put about 500 pounds on him, gave him lots of medical and farrier attention and, of course, TLC. Although he requires an experienced rider and didn't know very much about bits and leg yields when we got him, he has proven to be a beautiful, healthy and proud member of our family. He is a great ride and one of my favorites for trail and field trials.
