The 49th Annual Southside Virginia Volunteer Firefighters Association Convention will be hosted by Crewe Virginia on September 18, 2004.
Come one, come all as defending champs Company 7 of South Hill will try to defend their title from last year.
So be sure to come out and watch as firefighters from Southside Virginia compete against one another in six major events. (One Man Hose; Air Pack; Five Man Dressing, Four Man Ladder, Six Man Hose; Bucket Brigade; and the ultimate Tug-O-War). There is also truck judging and a parade.
While there, be sure to stop by and see the 1923 fire apparatus at the new Crewe Fire Station. This is the oldest operational fire truck in the southside region. |
