THIS COMING SCHOOL YEAR By Nick D. (July 29, 2004) This coming school year, after school meetings for The Legion will commence. Communications Director Julie K. will handle getting announcements up and out to the students of UAHS. During this time we will discuss items and issues concerning The Legion. We can hopefully build up a following and we'll have more people at the matches. Assuming that our numbers grow, we will attract people from other high schools around Central Ohio. We can then have smaller centurians (a division of The Legion) at other high schools around Columbus.

WHERE'S THE ENERGY??? By Nick D. (July 22, 2004) Granted we only had 6 people against Chicago, but our enthusiasm was horrifying. Numerous times I found myself chanting alone while others looked on. At one point two of us chanted and even got V-Army to chant along with us. We have to continue the passion. We want to give people a reason and motivation to join us. We are the ONLY group in the stadium that targets high schoolers. Give V-Army a reason to cheer/chant louder. If all of us chant together, we can make some serious noise. If YOU make the effort, people WILL join us. We've talked the talk, now let's walk the walk. We can be great if we want to be. Gameday only comes so often. Make the most of it. Hopefully, getting a drum will help motivate people.

THE NEAR FUTURE OF THE LEGION By Nick D. (June 30, 2004) We have another banner that we can pull over ourselves or hang up. We have to decide what to put on it. Also, I have an idea of pulling a banner over ourselves and releasing balloons when Columbus comes out of the tunnel at the start of the game. It's a thought, we may do it, we may not. This is the toughest time in a supporters group. I think that we all have grand visions of what this group can become. It just takes time and effort. We, together can make this the best supporters group in Columbus Crew Stadium. It just takes time and effort.

ATTENDANCE STATISTICS FOR THE LEGION By Nick D. (Updated July 22, 2004) "The more the merrier." The saying is true. Bringing friends and helping to get them intersted would really help our group. Imagine being in an environment, surrounded by 30 of your amigos. If everyone just brought one or two people we could easily have that number. Make it a reality. At that point, we would even rival fellow supporters V-Army 1941. Make The Legion, the group that everyone in the stadium talks about. Ask anyone who has been with us during matches. Everyone has enjoyed it. It's that layed-back, carefree, having fun, and making noise environment. Our attendance in The Legion has been somewhat successful. Here are the rough statistics: May 29, 2004 vs. San Jose: 12-15 June 12, 2004 vs. Kansas City: 7 June 26, 2004 vs. Colorado: 14 July 20, 2004 vs. Chicago (Open Cup): 6 July 28, 2004 vs. Dallas: 9 *Not All Matches Are Included
