The crew participates in a great variety of outdoor activities. We do a lot of camping, hiking, fishing, backpacking, kayaking and other outdoor related adventure.
Winter Camp
February 2003
We camped at Camp Sam Hatcher during the coldest weekend of 2003!
Temperatures dipped well below 0, but our hardy crew kept warm and in great spirits
We worked on our outdoor skills such as firemaking, knot tying, lashing, outdoor camping and Leave no Trace camping.
Spring Break Kayak Trip
March 2003
Our trip to Pamlico Sea Base was great!
We Kayaked to Goose Creek State Park and took advantage of the warm sun by sun bathing on the pier.
Upon our return to the Sea Base cabin we enjoyed warm showers and a great meal prepared by our Advisor, which we ate on the pier as we enjoyed the beautiful sunset.
We spent the evenings sitting around the campfire, roasting marshmellows and telling stories.
