WHO ARE WE???

Are you interested in high adventure activites like rock climbing/rapelling, cold weather camping, kayaking, backpacking and anything else that is fun to do, then we are the group for you!!

Venturing is a coed organization for young adults between 14 and 20 years of age.  Our crew, Crew 1407, meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 7-9p.m. at St. Margarets Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores,Michigan. It is located on 13 mile road just East of Harper Avenue.  We get together to hangout and plan upcoming weekend and summer activites that will be both exciting and fun.

Every year we elect a new set of officers, which gives everyone a great opportunity to practice their leadership skills.  Our meetings and activities are totally organized and lead by the youth, which make them all the more meaningful and fun.  Our adults serve the role as advisors and tend to linger in the background helping us out with ideas, skills, and transportation.

If you are thinking "I am way to busy to be involved in something like this!!" then think again.  The majority of us are also involved in activities like football, softball, soccer, school plays and clubs, as well as in a ton of other events at our high schools and colleges.  You only have to make the meetings and outings that are interesting and convenient for you!

Or if you are thinking "I don't have the equipment for these types of activities." don't worry about it...neither do I!  Our crew owns some of its own equipment and our members are always willing to help eachother out.  So even if you're not totally sold on us yet, come to our next meeting and find out more about what we're all about!
