1. What is a computer virus. Find five different viruses and describe what they do. Due Friday 3^rd August

 

 

2. Find job advertisements in the newspaper for Computer Programmers. What programming languages should they know. Due Friday 17^th August

 

 

3. What is an ISP? Explain and give examples. Due Friday 31^st August

 

 

4. What is a barcode? Is there only one type? Due Friday 14^th September

 

 

5. Investigate and decribe a robot. You could choose robots that build cars or robots that are used to gather rocks on Mars. Due Friday 28^th September

 

 

6. What is a logo? Find five different logos and stick them on your A4 page. Does it matter how you draw logos? Due Friday 26^th October

 

 

7. What are personal digital assistants? They are also called PDAs. Find some pictures in ads and describe what they do. Due Friday 9^th November

 

 

8. Investigate different types of digital camera. Cut out pictures and ads and describe which one you think is good value. Due Friday 23^rd November

Your assignment should demonstrate your researching and organisational skills. The reason for handwritten assignments is that you are limited to handwriting your answers in exams.
