Copyright is a law
that gives the author the sole right to make copies of the work and sell them.
Illegal copying of
software is called software piracy and is a crime.
There are many different
types of licence
1. Site Licence allows for a certain
number of copies to be run at the same time.
2. Network licence allows one copy to be
used on many computers through a network.
3. Shareware allows people to use the
program for free for a short time but then they must pay if they continue to
use it.
4. Public Domain has no copyright and can
be freely distributed
