I N T R O D U C T A R Y . I N F O R M A T I O N- Sangiu'matii, or "Mother Blood" in an abbreviated form of Latin, is the group that has kept the vampyre legions at least partially organized and a silent power to be reckoned with for nearly the species' entire existence, carefully counting each made or born vampyre and forcing each to take blood oaths that will tie their destiny to the group. They are the vampyres that rule the Wasteland and give the death order to those of the Crestfallen's Spider's Dusk underground city. They are both the originals stricken with the first strain of vampyrism's disease and are those select few whom created the first generations and so forth nearly 200 years ago and continue to create the Intermediate Blackdove subdivision of the species today. The name is occasionally used to refer to just the High Blooded Subdivision I species, though in essence it includes all vampyres save those who choose to call themselves Crestfallen and wallow pleasantly in their fall from grace within urbania's walls.

B A C K G R O U N D . I N F O R M A T I O N- The counsel was anointed shortly after the first vampyre annihilation groups began appearing and one or two generations of Doves were running around, and has since come to dominate the vampyre existence, as a sort of government and tracker of the species� numbers. They enforce rules and penalties within their society and in general oversee the vampyre hierarchy and seem to know everything that goes on everywhere. Crossing the counsel is sure death, which is almost always the only penalty given. Try speaking out against them and see if the next night their agents aren�t knocking on your door with a spade and a death warrant.

S U P P L E M E N T A R Y . I N F O R M A T I O N- Importantly locations include the Wasteland or as they like to call it, home. The vast majority of the desert Wasteland located on all sides of the City's walls is vampyre territory, as is anyone stupid or unlucky enough to stumble upon this ground. Among the Wastelands, the Hypostyle is rumored to exist, a sort of vampyre city structure functioning as the main center of business and activity within vampyre circles.

M E M B E R S H I P & H I E R A C H Y- High Blood hold any position of real authority, though Doves may gain recognition and limited power in both the Wastelands and the City by impressing certain key figures. Vampyres are classified as either Old Blood or New Blood, born or made. Oldblood families, which are viewed with more power and pull among the Sangiu'matii, are typically those families of vampyre that can trace their lineage back to the first couple hundred sexually reproductive capable Doves, and the very first generation of Intermediates - creatures born human but Turned by High Blood well over a century and a half ago. All else are Newblood families. Born vampyres typically make up the largest percentage of the Dove population and are the result of a birth from two Blackdoves. Parvius, the name given by the Sangiu'matii to Low Blood, are rarely recognized as vampyres by the organization, which is why most go to Los Delos (if they weren't originally made there, as many are) and join Spider's Dusk.
The very highest order of Intermediates is the Rewynii, occasionally referred to as the 'Sangiu'Rewynii,' or 'Blooded Doves.' Rewynii (pronounced reh'win-NEE) are the purest form of vampyre next to the High Blood elders themselves. They are the offspring of sexual reproduction between two High Blood, and their number is predicted to be preciously small; approximately 50 to 70 exist total, a trivial number compared to the lump sum of the vampyre nation, lending these select few frightening prestige.
Anyone born or made with permission from the Sangiu'matii is considered a member of the organization. Vampyres made illegally without the consent of the group aren't accounted for and are usually hunted down and killed immediately, that including their maker.
