Turkey Stroganoff
Prep time: 20 minutes
| 1 lb. lean ground turkey |
� tsp. garlic-pepper blend |
3� cups water |
| 1 (1.5 oz.) pkg. beef stroganoff sauce mix |
6 oz. uncooked med. egg noodles |
� cup sour cream |
| 1 tbsp. chopped chives |

- In large skillet, combine ground turkey and garlic-pepper blend; cook over medium high heat for 5 to 6 minutes or until turkey is no longer pink, stirring frequently.
- Add water, sauce mix and noodles; mix well. Bring to a boil; stir. Reduce heat to medium low; cover and cook 6 to 8 minutes or until noodles are tender, stirring occasionally.
- Add sour cream; mix well. cook and stir just until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with chives.

Ingredient substitution:
About � teaspoon each of garlic, salt and pepper can be used in place of the garlic-pepper blend.
Healthy hint:
To reduce the fat in each serving of this stroganoff by about 6 grams use nonfat sour cream.
Recipe variation:
Add one jar of mushrooms, drained, and one medium tomato, chopped, when adding the noodles.
