Taco Skillet Dinner

Prep time: 25 minutes

1 lb. lean ground beef 1 pkg. Old El Paso Taco Seasoning Mix 2� cups water
2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese 2 green onions, sliced
� cup sour cream 1 med. tomato, chopped

  1. Brown ground beef in large skillet over medium-high heat until thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain.
  2. Add taco seasoning mix, water and macaroni; mix well. Bring to a boil; stir. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and cook 8 to 10 minutes or until macaroni is of desired doneness, stirring occasionally.
  3. Sprinkle with cheese and onions. Top with sour cream. Sprinkle with tomato.

4 (1� cup) servings

Ingredient substitution:
Small shell pasta can be used in the place of elbow macaroni.

Just for kids:
Pass the toppings in individual dishes so everyone can garnish the casserole with their favorites.

Serving suggestion:
Serve this casserole on a bed of taco chips, or crush some chips to pass along with the other toppings.
