Pizza Skillet Hot Dish
Prep time: 30 minutes
| � lb. lean ground beef |
� cup sliced pepperoni, chopped |
2 cups spaghetti sauce (14 oz. jar) |
| � cup water |
2 cups uncooked ready-cut spaghetti |
� cup sliced ripe olives |
| � green bell pepper, cut into thin strips |
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese |

- Brown ground beef in large skillet over medium-high heat until thoroughly cooked. Add pepperoni; cook 1 minute. Drain.
- Stir in spaghetti sauce, water and uncooked spaghetti. Bring to a boil; stir. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and cook 10 to 15 minutes or until spaghetti is of desired doneness, stirring occasionally.
- Add olives; stir gently to mix. Arrange pepper strips over top. Sprinkle with cheese. Remove from heat. Cover; let stand 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
4 (1� cup) servings
Ingredient substitution:
Seven ounces of spaghetti, broken into 2" pieces, can be used in place of the cut spaghetti.
Kitchen tip:
Pour the water into the empty jar of spaghetti sauce before adding it to the skillet to the last bits of sauce into the recipe.
Just for kids:
Make a smiling face on individual servings of this dish. Use pepperoni for eyes, a whole olive for the nose and a red bell pepper strip for a smile.
