Grilled Angel Food With Fruit Salsa

Prep time: 15 minutes

� cup chopped cantaloupe � cup chopped strawberries � cup blueberries
1 kiwi fruit, peeled, chopped 2 to 3 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. fresh lime juice
1 (14 oz.) angel food cake loaf

  1. Heat grill. In medium bowl, combine all ingredients except cake; mix well. Slice cake horizontally.
  2. When ready to grill, place cake halves, cut side down. Cook 30 to 60 seconds or until light golden brown.
  3. To serve, cut cake into 8 pieces; place on individual dessert plates and top with fruit.
  4. Note: To broil cake, place cake halves, cut side up on broiler pan; broil 4 to 6" from heat for 1 to 2 minutes.

Watch the angel food cake carefully when you grill or broil it. The cake browns very quickly, and the surface can burn just a few seconds after it has browned.
