This is yet another sign of my obsession with Sherlock Holmes, that he is even in my dorm room! For my course in Stagecraft, the MiniCAD project was to construct a scale model of my dorm room, then embellish and "cartoon-ify" it in Photoshop. The weirdest example of my rampant Holmes mania, I present it for curiosity's sake.
Of note: That thing beneath the window is a heater, and the books are resting on a dresser. There are several things missing from my room, due to the fact that they were blocking the view--namely, two walls, a door, a large wardrobe, a stereo, and the clutter of papers that, Holmes-like, invariably accumulates around me. Artistic license also led me to invent certain items as well. The plant which, if real, would surely have died from the lack of light in that corner, comes from the same drawing as that woman on the wall. It's an old sketch I did years ago. Finally, the two Sherlockian items are fantasy objects. I fabricrated the bedspread from a clip-art image of a pipe and magnifying glass. The "poster" is merely an image from Gaslight on the Web to which I added the words "Arthur Wonter as Sherlock Holmes". I have seen and enjoyed Wonter's portrayal of Holmes in a few films that I was fortunate to obtain copies of.
