Fringe cup (Tellima grandiflora)
Fringe cup is in the saxifrage family. It prefers wet, moist soil with lots of humus. As it gets pollinated, the flowers change colors from green to white then pink and finally brown. This plant is sometimes called special medicine because it was used as a medicine to stop people from having dreams with the dead.
The Native Americans used a decoction of pounded plant to treat most illnesses. They also used this for restoring the appetite.
