Michael Schroeder was born and raised on the inner city streets of New Orleans by a strict yet comedic father and a somewhat bohemian mother who seperated when he was five. Michael took life's lessons in stride, duking it out on these urban thoroughfares. He began revealing his passion for art at a somewhat early age. Usually drawing and sketching for his teachers as barter for getting out of doing his homework. He graduated from high school designing and painted the banners that led him and his senior class on the path to adulthood. Ultimately, he attended the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts and Delgado Community College to refine his talents and visions.

Michael has applied his talents in all aspects of commercial and fine art, ranging from watercolors on bricks to designing complicated neon sculptures. But his true passion is tattooing. Having apprenticed under Doc Don Lucas for a year and a half, then working at different shops around the New Orleans area. Michael has been slinging ink for six and a half years.

He currently owns Crescent City Tattoo Company in uptown New Orleans, located at 4800 Magazine Street. Michael is a member of the Contemporary Arts Center and registered with the Louisiana Arts Council. He is always ready to donate his time and talents to the community.
