Tournament Rules
1.) These rules apply to all CRE fishing club tournaments.  Modifications or additions to these rules will be noted on the tournament schedule for that particular tournament.

2.) The yearly membership dues of $15 must be paid in full prior to fishing in any of the scheduled tournaments.

3.) Tournament contestants must have paid their entry fees to the Tournament Director or Treasureer prior to leaving the boat ramp to begin fishing.  Late entries will not be permitted.

4.) The entry fee for all club tournaments is $12.00, unless otherwise stated on the tournament schedule.  $2.00 of a each entry fee will be used for and transferred to the Angler-Of-The-Year (AOY) fund.

5.) The payback schedule shall be 40% for the first place, 25% for second place. and 10% for third place.  The remaining 25% will be used for the club treasury.

6.) Guests will be allowed as long as one club member is in each boat.  No guests will be allowed in the Championship Tournament.

7.) Anglers will be paired up by the Tournament Director.  In the event of an uneven number of boaters and non-boaters, or if a participant does not show up, arrangements to accomodate all anglers present will be attempted.  As a lat resort, this may include having 3 in one boat, or having one angler fishing alone.  The normal shall be two anglers per boat.

8.) The tournament director has the right to limit the number of participants.  This iright will be exercised if we have an exceedingly large number of anglers enrolling in one tournament.

9.) Artificial lures will be used except where live bait is allowed for a particular tournament.  This will be noted on the tournament schedule.

10.) The total weight of legal fish will determine the winners.

11.) A live well or a large tank with a minimum capacity of 40 quarts will be required on each boat.  Tanks must be aerated with a 12 volt pump. 
D-Cell aerators are not acceptable. This ruke is necessary to prevent dead fish from being brought to the scales.  A 2 ounce penalty will be assessed for each dead fish during bass tournaments.  Use of ice jugs will be required during hot weather tournaments.

12.)  Illegal fish brought to the scales will result in a disqualification of the angler.  Anglers may not possess more than a legal limit.  A slot limit is in effect in all CRE waters, unless a waiver has been ubtained for that tournament.  A person may not possess any bass from 11 inches up to but not including 15 inches total length.  If the tail touched 11 inches in any way,
tail open or closed, the fish is legal.  Know the rules and have an accurate measuring device on board your boat.

13.) The Tournment Director will have the final say on all fish qualification.

14.) All anglers must fish from a boat.  All boats will be checked thoroughly before leaving the boat ramp.  All state required safety equipment must be on board.  All live wells must be empty of fish.  All anglers must possess a MD non-tidal fishing license.

15.) Anglers may not leave the designated fishing areas during tournament hour except in an emergency.

16.) Anglers must be on-time for weigh-in.  Late participants will be disqualified unless extenuating circumstances prevent them from arriving at the scheduled time.

17.) Tournaments may be cancelled due to inclement weather.  This will be decided by the tournament director at the ramp.

18.) Only one fishing rod may be used and in the water at one time.

19.) Netting a fish is permitted.

20.) Any un-sportsmen like conduct will result in immediate disqualification.  Use good judgment, be couteous, and most of all, let's have a good time- Good Luck!
DNR Regulations
The Department of Natural Resources(DNR) has determined all Freshwaters in CRE will be managed under Trophy Management Regulations. Which are as follows-

                          - all Bass between 11" and 15" must be released
                          - You are aloud a total of 5 Bass under 11"
                          - ONE Bass which can be over 15"

incurage the release of all bass, especially those over 15".
