....as the curtain parted, slowly revealing the contents of the stage, a murmur swept through the crowd. Some women fainted, while others eyes fluttered, like a fly caught in a blind. Most, if not all of the men, grabbed their girlfriends or wives, and pulled them closer, holding on tight. the curtain was now stretched, tied in opposite corners, and the stage was in full view. Afterwards many would report hearing an indescribable hum the first moment of the stage becoming clear, "like the sound of the gates of heaven opening"; others, would remember nothing: an epiphanic uppercut robbing them of their awestruck consciousness. Yet, all would be in complete agreement on one account: a legend was on that stage, and their name....their name was CREE. - J. Gowen 12/12/03
