Solidarity Shipments
Sending supplies to progressive projects in the third world was my "thing" for awhile. These are the shipments that I coordinated.
Key:
PFH: Partners for Health, a Seattle non-profit that helped the Nicaraguan
Ministry of Health (MINSA) during the Contra War.
Friendshipment: National caravans sponsored by Pastors for Peace, a Chicago-based
spiritual/activist non-profit trying to normalize relations between Cuba and
the United States.
MLK Center: the Martin Luther King Center in Havana.
INFOMED: Shipments of computers to the Cuban Ministry of Health's INFOMED
medical information project.
Si a La Vida: Seattleite Jonathan Roise's Managua-based project to help
glue-sniffing street children.
