Too often, the people around us see the God we serve (or the God we present) as a finger-pointing, scowling old man sitting up in Heaven, pointing out all of our mistakes, making us feel guilty, and keeping score of everything we’ve done.
But we want our world to know that all of us are full of holes and leaking all over the place(a); that God loves us just the way we are(b), and has a plan for our lives(c); that He came in the form of Jesus Christ to provide us a way to receive that relationship with Him on a personal level(d); and that His greatest desire is for us to come to Him and receive forgiveness and to walk in a new life that He has for each of us.(e)
He knows how far off track we each are.
He knows how much we each mess up every day.
He does not expect us to clean ourselves up and then come see Him.(f)
He knows we can’t clean ourselves up! The more we try to clean up, the more covered with mud we become!!
So He provided the way for us to break out of that self-defeating cycle of trying to it on our own and failing.(g)
It cries out for a love that goes beyond our successes, beyond our achievements, beyond our talents and abilities!
Inside we are dying for someone that can reach down, deep into the recesses of our hearts, past all the mess-ups, past all the secrets, past all the dark, hidden fears that keep us caged and chained inside!
We here at Creekside want to tell our little corner of the world –
His arms are stretched out to you today, waiting for you to see Him, and run to Him, jump into His love where He’ll never let you go!
In this topsy-turvy world where we live, there is a Rock where we can go that provides comfort, security, and release from the pressures and problems that we face every day, everywhere we turn.
We invite you to come to Him today. Check out who He said He is.
Read the book of John in the New Testament and see for yourself what Jesus taught over and over about Himself.(l)
Or check out this website and explore for yourself who Jesus is:
The British author, C. S. Lewis, said once that Jesus was either a liar, a lunatic, or truly Lord of all. We each must make our own decision about that.
It is a decision that some take lightly and cast off, not wanting to think about things like eternity and sin and God.
But it is a decision that many make with wisdom and conviction, once the Holy Spirit shows them the true role of Christ for their lives.
And it’s a decision that holds truly eternal impact.
Thanks for stopping by. Let us know if we can pray for you or serve you in any way.
