1. DAVID HALE b. Fish Ponds, (son of HOPAIE and HANNAH HALE) m. CELIA ____, b. 1800.
DAVID died Aug. 1837, Pass Christian Miss. The 1832 Indian census taken at Ataugua says
David had ten people in his family. Five males, three females, and two slaves. Indicating
there were four sons, and two daughters. During the movement west, in August 1837, David died
in Pass Christain, Mississippi. The maiden name of of his wife, Celia, has not been found.
Two of their children were named Samuel A. and Hannah L. Documents show Hannah was three
years younger than Samuel. It is not known what happened to the other three sons and the
one daughter. Documents show that David was a well thought of, and intellegent man.
His name appears on several important government documents.
