Jim Morrison was born December 8 in Melbourne, Florida. He went to Junior College, Florida University, and finally ended up attending film school at U.C.L.A. It was there that he met Ray Manzarek and the first piece of The Doors legend was formed. After graduating film school Jim hung around Venice Beach and one day ran into Ray on the beach. It was there they formed The Doors. Jim was always a poet before a singer and that is where the magic came from. The Doors took Jim's poetry and turned into music.
