| 1. Before you begin, please read "Choices: Pilot: Two Pawns Play Chess" to get an idea of how a Choices fic works. The defining feature is showing how Mulder and Scully (or Doggett or Reyes or Skinner or Krycek if need be) made choices between two (or more) options at various point on a case. You'll have to read my story to fully understand the concept. 2. While you may embellish, do not change the story. These are not A/U fics. Instead, add Mulder and Scully's thoughts, and add the commentary of a narrator, who you may portray any way you like. 3. And feel free to add creative touches. My story features echoing parrallelism, for example. Do not be afraid to make your story better than mine. 4. You do not have to use every scene and every line. Paraphrasing, summarizing, and shortening scenes is allowed. You may also add or extend scenes if necessary, but do not violate Rule 2. 5. While you do not have to have a quote at the beginning of your story, it is recommended. It can be any quote from or outside of The X-Files that deals with the choices/fate/destiny/free will theme. Note: For those of you who would like to do "Never Again," I would ask that you be an experience fanfic author. This one garners high expectations. And for those of you who want to do "all things," I would prefer that you be experience and accomplished, because I'm expecting something spectacular. It will require intensive Scully character analysis. Please e-mail all stories to [email protected]. I may proofread and edit them, but they will remain your stories. Feel free to do them in either .txt or .htm/.html format. Good luck! |
