My addiction began in April, 2002 with
my brand new RBI Hawk Scroll Saw. Its now January of 2005 and my addiction has grown and expanded into other woodworking areas as well. There is much to tell.
I have reached my first goal of designing and making custom portraits and have reached another goal just recently. I had an article (A Rose is a Rose) and the pattern published in the Fall 2004 issue of Scroll Saw Workshop magazine.
With the help of a wonderful designer Ted Duquette, I have made several different Custom Fretwork Frames
Relief Scrolling is another pinnacle for me on the scroll saw. I have found it is easily done and it adds depth to a project.
Segmentation is another area I have been delving into. The 3D effect of this type of scrolling is unique and the color combinations are endless. Eventually I will try my hand at Intarsia , a true art form in itself.
Mirror Magic is not something new to the site but browsing that area will give you an idea of one of the many different types of mediums I used in my art.
We now have two Hawk Scroll Saws in our workshop plus a 14" Grizzly Bandsaw and a RingMaster. The latest addition is a 1442 Jet lathe. This piece of equipment is my husband's pride and joy. Turning is a whole new experience and we are learning slowly all the ins and outs of making square things round.
There are several new pages on the site for you to browse through showing what we have been up to with the "New Toys".
I am still Crocheting but not nearly as much. It is my first love and will always be a part of my art, and my addiction.
