Chalk Popping
This technique is sooo cool! The effect looks like a soft pastel or watercolor. It appears the images are "popping" off the pages!
You will need:
Larger Bold Stamp Versarmark inkpad
Chalk Set Q-tips and Cotton ball
Card stock of your choice
Directions:
1. Cut and fold card stock.
2. Stamp image with versamark inkpad onto card stock in neat pattern. On white card stock the image will be faint but still visible. On colored card stock it will look like a watermark.
3. Rub chalk lightly with a cotton ball over the image to give it color and set it out from the paper. If you rub to hard or use a dark color on white card stock you will have a shadow behind. You can solve that problem by shadowing the whole page so it looks like it's supposed to be that way.
4. Shade image with q-tip and the same color chalk as you rubbed on with the cotton ball in corners or grooves to make image darker and give it dimension.
5. Set in front of you and admire! |
