January Workshop
The January workshop for the Creative Quilters was taught by member Coleen Poole. The quilt pattern was called Bulls-eye and consisted of 3 concentric circles sewn, rough edge, on a 9 block. The blocks are then cut in quarters, mixed and re-sewn into blocks. The quilt is washed and circle edges brushed when finished to create a fringe-like appearance.

January Business Meeting
The members of Creative Quilters look forward to the first meeting in January each year to view the unveiling of the annual challenge. This years theme was a Dimensional Art Quilt Extravaganza, quilted wall hanging. It didnt need to be restricted to the usual cotton fabric, but encouraged to use unusual fibers, buttons rope or what ever the member wanted.
Amie Spinello took not only First Place, but Judges Choice. Second place went to Karen Crosby and Third to Peggy Evens.
Committee Chairmen for Creative Quilters upcoming quilt show had a meeting at the Homosassa Springs Library on January 7. Each chairman updated the committee on their aspect of the show planning.
