Credentials
Certified in 1996 and re-certified in 1999.
Badge number 3859.

CSIA certification is an individual credential, awarded to sweeps only after passing the test, and is valid for three years. To re-certify and to keep up with the codes, practices and technology, sweeps may earn continuing education credits. Or they may take the latest version of the CSIA-administered examination.

CSIA-certified sweeps have passed a rigours test that examines their knowledge. Certified sweeps have learned how to do the job right as competent, qualified service professionals.

A CSIA-certified sweep carried a photo identification badge with the CSIA certification number and expiration date. There is no such thing as a "CSIA certified sweeping business". The CSIA credential is based on individual testing and must be renewed every three years. The certified sweep creditial is a hallmark of excellence among chimney service professionals. Related industry leaders and knowledgable homeowners understand the quality and value this credential represents.
