"I'll Look Up"
Your stall is empty now, for you're no longer here. You've gone to a better place, and I know you'll like it there, the grass is thick and lush and green and the sky is a vibrant blue.
Each night when the stars come out, I'll look up and think of you.
Each day you can run and buck and play, or sleep the day away. You'll feel no hunger or no pain, every day will bring a feast of apples, carrots and grain.
Each night in the twilights dusky hue, I'll look up and think of you.
For many years, you've been my trusted friend, someday I know, we'll meet again. But until then, old freind, you'll be in a better place and I'll always have the memories that time cannot erase. And on this night, in the darkness, I'll look up and say a prayer for you.

A lovely horse is always an experience.... It is an emotional experience of the kind that is spoiled by words. ~Beryl Markham
