Background images are located on the internet. It is best to locate the image first and download it before trying to actually place it into your web page.

Capturing Background Images from the Internet

1. Locate the background image on the internet.
2. Place the mouse over the image and right click.
3. From the floating menu, choose Save Image As.
4. In the Save Image As dialog box, locate the Save In window. Click the upside down arrow to the right of this window and choose where to save your image.

Caution: Remember where you have saved your image. You will be required to supply this information into the Page Properties of your web page!

To Apply a Background Image to Your Web Page

1. Right click anywhere on the white background of your web page.
2. Choose Page Properties from the pop-up menu.
3. Click on the Colors and Background tab.
4. In the Background Image section, click in the box next to Use Image.
5. Type the name of an image file you have saved. If you're not sure on the filename or file location, click Choose File to find the image. Then click Apply then ok.

If you choose a graphic image or picture for your background, follow the same directions on the previous page. However, please note, graphics and pictures are tiled and override background color.
