The
original mind behind Creative By Design:
Ms. Nussbaum-Beach received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Education degrees from Valdosta State University, Valdosta, Georgia, in early childhood education where she also served on the faculty of the Early Childhood and Reading Education Department. Currently, she is pursuing her doctorate in Education, Policy, Planning, and Leadership from the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia, where she also serves as adjunct faculty teaching instructional technology courses to undergraduate and graduate level education students.
In addition, Ms. Nussbaum-Beach is a guidance statistics specialist for the Virginia Beach City Public School system. She has won numerous awards for her teaching expertise, such as the National Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow Finalist award in 2002, District Teacher of the Year (2002) and Washington Mutual’s Senior Teacher Leader Fellow in 2004. She also presents nationally on topics related to instructional technology, teacher leadership, and homelessness.

Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach has seventeen years experience integrating and managing technology in a variety of educational environments. She has taught in public, private, and home schools, at the elementary, secondary and postgraduate levels. She has also taught industry certification courses as a Microsoft Certified Trainer and served as a faculty member of Connected University, an online professional development community.
