Wednesday 12th
March
Live from the General Motors Place, Vancouver, British Columbia
The Genesis preview tape plays with footage of last weeks main event, set to "Between Angels And Insects" by Papa Roach. As the video ends on a picture of Bane staring down at El Kabong Jr, the shot focuses on the darkness inside General Motors Place as the crowd anticipate the beginning of the show. A bright turquoise firework drops from the heights, crashing onto the stage and exploding, igniting a pair of wires and leading to the top corners of the titantron. Sparks explode upwards the length of the wires, and as they hit the top three fireworks race between them and towards the sky, exploding over the crowd and bathing the arena in bright white light. The lights come half on as strobe lights begin to flash around the arena, the fans standing in unison and making as much noise as they can!
Dean Nathaniel; Good evening one and all, and welcome to the General Motors Place! This is Dean Nathaniel at ringside, alongside Robert Purcell as Genesis presents itself live from the home of the Canucks! We have a great night of action set up tonight, particularly in our main event as eleven superstars compete for the chance to become the Creation Heavyweight Champion! Who do you tip to walk away with the honours tonight, Robert?
Robert Purcell; I have no idea, Dean. You know how hotly I tip Bane for the strap at the moment, but he isn't in this battle royal. The guys who are will be thanking their lucky stars!
Dean Nathaniel; Bane will have a vested interest in the match tonight, as will a few other contenders, including the trio of Blade Arkhan, JX Lighthouse and Dustin Cage! All three men are hotly tipped to go all the way next week, and we will get a taster of their abilities when they step into singles matches tonight!
Robert Purcell; JX Lighthouse for the first time! I can't wait to see this guy in action Dean, I just love the guys attitude. And that's before you bring Jodie Jackson into the equation!
Dean Nathaniel; Well speak for yourself, Robert. Lighthouse may have a bad attitude, but there's not many who have the kind of attitude that compares to that of Blade Arkhan! The man is a weapon in himself, and after last weeks defeat of Nationwide, I can't wait to see how he fares against the newcomer!
Robert Purcell; We're about to find out!
The lights go out and "The Man Without Fear" hits the speakers, followed by a flash of green light throughout the arena. Pyro shoots from the stage as JX Lighthouse walks out, closely followed by Jodie Jackson and his manager, Matt Lanegan. They walk to the ring without making a fuss, and wait for JX's opponent as the crowd show what disdain they have for him.
Robert Purcell; I wish these fans would realise the meaning of true talent, and be thankful for it!
Dean Nathaniel; I'm sure they are, Robert, but you can't win over the crowd the way he acts. There is an air of arrogance about JX Lighthouse which makes him very hard to love!
Robert Purcell; The arrogant have more chance of succeeding!
The lights go low and turn red as the arena fills with mist. Suddenly "Prayer" by Disturbed blasts over the speakers, and pyros explode as a figure walks out onto the darkened stage. The crowd explodes into cheers and a single red spot light turns on the area, illuminating it to show Blade Arkhan. He begins to walk to the ring slowly, climbing in over the top rope and raising his hands into the air as pyros explode once more.
Dean Nathaniel; What an intimidating monster, and what a reaction from these fans for Blade Arkhan!
Robert Purcell; Yeah, well JX Lighthouse has more to prove, and as far as I'm concerned, looks to be the better, more complete wrestler! My cash is on him!
The bell rings, and straight away the action begins as Blade runs at JX, and nearly clotheslines him out of his boots. JX falls to the mat stunned as Blade continues running, bouncing off the ropes, before coming back towards the grounded JX and hitting him with a legdrop. The crowd cheer as Blade climbs to his feet and picks JX up by the scruff of the neck, before violently throwing him face first into the corner. Blade backs off into the opposite corner and looks set to splash JX as the crowd rise to their feet in anticipation. Blade runs full speed towards JX, but a quick thinking JX Lighthouse quickly moves out of the way, and Arkhan is sent crashing into the turnbuckle.
Robert Purcell; That's quick and clever thinking from my man, JX Lighthouse, even after Blade gave him that cheap shot. This guys behaviour is despicable, and yet he's the one the crowd get behind!
Dean Nathaniel; Lighthouse certainly caught Blade out with that one, but Arkhan has been the dominant factor up until now!
JX quickly takes advantage of the situation, turning Blade around and delivering a series of quick knife-edge chops to the big man. Lighthouse grabs Blade by the arm and attempts to whip him into the opposite corner, but Blade stops dead in the center of the ring, JX's irish whip not nearly powerful enough. Blade turns around slowly to face JX and is met by a superkick right to the chin, which knocks the big man down. JX quickly goes for the pin, but can only get the two count as Arkhan kicks out without any real difficulty. Lighthouse tries to keep up the offense by stomping away at the back area of Arkhan, but Blade slowly climbs to his feet. Despite the stiff kicks, Arkhan manages to his feet and grabs Lighthouse around the neck. In one swift move he lifts Lighthouse high into the air with one arm, and brings his body crashing to the mat with the Arkhan Chokeslam!
Dean Nathaniel; Ouch! He'll still be feeling that one next week! What a move! That's raw, unrivalled power from Blade! Surely there can be no coming back from Lighthouse!
The crowd cheer Blade on as he picks JX up, but Lighthouse takes everyone by surprise and hits him with a sit-out jawbreaker which brings Arkhan down on one knee, holding the side of his face in great pain. The crowd are amazed that Lighthouse has got anything in him after the chokeslam, and he amazes them further as he floats high in the air, delivering a dropkick right into the face! The big man is left sprawled out in the middle of the ring, bleeding from the mouth as Lighthouse takes a moment to catch his breath.
Robert Purcell; I'm sure I just saw a tooth fly out!
Dean Nathaniel; It's possible, Blade is bleeding from the mouth after that dropkick from JX Lighthouse! That was amazing athleticism, Lighthouse reached 7 feet even after that chokeslam!
JX Lighthouse slowly picks himself back up and climbs to the top rope as the crowd jeer, as Jodie Jackson and Matt Lanegan shout support from ringside. JX stands on the top rope ready to fly, but fails to notice that Blade is already back on his feet. Blade runs towards JX and pushes him off the turnbuckle, and JX is sent flying through the air, before his head connects with a sickening thud against the crowd barrier. Blade looks down on JX as the crowd cheer wildly. Jodie and Matt quickly check on him, and the referee begins to count.
Robert Purcell; Blade should have been disqualified for that!
Dean Nathaniel; He's the Demonic Son of a Bitch! It's all a part of his game, and even so, that wasn't an illegal manoeuvre! That was as legal as your run-of-the-mill suplex!
Robert Purcell; Some game that; smashing someone's skull!
At the count of eight, JX - with some help - finally rolls himself back into the ring. Blade grabs him and whips him into the ropes, but the quick to recover JX Lighthouse takes Arkhan by surprise and hits him with a flying cross body. JX rolls into a pin, but Arkhan kicks out at two much to the relief of the fans. Both men get to their feet at the same time, but it is Blade who gains the advantage as he hits JX with a hard right, followed by another, which has JX reeling. Lighthouse staggers into a big boot from Arkhan, who signals that the end is near, calling time for the Cutting Edge as the fans cheer and rise to their feet.
Dean Nathaniel; Blade Arkhan is calling for the end here Robert! JX Lighthouse might be about to get his lights put out!
Arkhan watches and waits as Lighthouse slowly staggers to his feet. He throws his right boot out, catching JX in the midsection, and raising his right hand into the air. He quickly drags Lighthouse up into the crucifix position, dropping him to the mat with a huge powerbomb! The fans cheer as Arkhan spins Lighthouse around slightly to make the pin, and the referee drops. He counts one, two, and Lighthouse gets his foot on the ropes, but the referee is oblivious, and counts the three! The bell is rung, and Arkhan stands up, celebrating his apparent victory as the crowd looks on cheering, and yet in confusion.
Robert Purcell; JX Lighthouse just got totally screwed!
Dean Nathaniel; That was a somewhat controversial decision by the referee, and Matt Lanegan seems intent on taking it up with him!
Robert Purcell; Can you blame him?
Dean Nathaniel; Well nonetheless Blade Arkhan has a victory to his name here, albeit something of a tainted one!
As Arkhan heads away from the ring, Matt Lanegan climbs in and remonstrates with the referee. Lighthouse gets up slowly and looks at the referee with total despair and disgust at the outcome. Lanegan grabs the referee by the collar and tosses him into the corner, threatening him as Lighthouse gets hold of a microphone, turning to the crowd.
JX Lighthouse; I bet you all loved that, didn't you? JX Lighthouse once again proving how much of a screwup he is, huh? Is that it? Is that what makes you fans happy? Well I tell you what, it doesn't make me happy! What makes me happy is seeing the true idiots pay for their mistakes, rather than people like me, talented men, being overlooked! And this s**t isn't gonna fly anymore, starting right now, with you!
Lighthouse points to the referee, running in and dropping him with a clothesline. The referee slumps down into the corner, and Lighthouse looks around at the jeering fans. He grabs the referee and drags him to his feet, cradling the referee in the air, before releasing his feet and flooring him with the Layabout! Lighthouse gets up and snatches the microphone back.
JX Lighthouse; Go on, jeer! Well you know what, you can all go to hell! I put my body on the line like this for you week in week out, and you want to sit there cursing me? It makes me sick! I'm tired of being unappreciated by idiots like you, idiots like this referee! From now on, people are gonna start paying for their mistakes! I'm gonna show each and every one of you why I am rightfully the number one man in this company!
JX Lighthouse throws the microphone down onto the ref, turning away and leaving the ring. Jodie Jackson and Matt Lanegan follow, but not without a few more choice words to the beaten down referee. The cameras go backstage, where Emma Hanson stands by. She adjusts her tight skirt briefly as she looks into the camera, before the camera pans left and zooms out slightly, to reveal Ethan Sebastian standing by, and checking her out in the process.
Emma Hanson; Ethan, in a few moments you step into the ring with the man who you brutally assaulted last week; attacking him with a chair. But my question to you is, what do you hold against Kid Kaos?
Ethan Sebastian; Not a thing, Emma, but I know someone I could 'hold'...something against.
Ethan flicks Emma's hair and she looks at him, as though she didn't expect it. He brushes Emma's hand and the microphone away from his face, leaning her back towards the ground. She smiles a little, but Ethan just winks and raises her back up.
Ethan Sebastian; But of course, being the ultimate professional I am, I'll save that for another time. You see tonight I am all about business, Emma, and I've another person to take out my energy on.
Emma Hanson; But what was it that prompted you to go after Kaos in particular?
Ethan Sebastian; Emma, I'm sure you know all about 'doing everything it takes' to get to the top. And if you play your cards right, maybe you can show me just how you've...'done it'. But you see, my ways of getting to the top are different to yours. I can't be top dog with a flutter of my eyebrows and a quick flash of skin. In this game, there are only two ways to be number one - to kick the s**t out of people, and too get yourself some help along the way. And last week, I killed two birds with one stone.
Emma Hanson; What are you trying to say?
Ethan Sebastian; Simple, Emma.
At this point Jeff Maverick appears on the other side of Emma Hanson. She turns around and flinches a bit, obviously shocked slightly by his sudden presence. Ethan looks up at him and laughs, turning back to Emma.
Ethan Sebastian; I'd like you to meet my new tag team partner. Emma, Jeff Maverick. Call the bookies, place your bets, because there's a brand new horse in town, and this one isn't under some stupid f**king costume with a paper mache head. This is no silly game of poker, or a flutter on the greyhounds. This is as sure a bet as me getting into your pants, Emma, and Kid Kaos is about to find out why you don't put your money on the underdog.
The crowd laughs, and Emma looks slightly offended. Ethan winks at her and walks away, Jeff Maverick following.
Dean Nathaniel; Well Robert, it seems Ethan Sebastian has himself a tag team partner in Jeff Maverick! What impact could this have on the tag team division in Creation Wrestling?
Robert Purcell; A big one, believe you me. Ethan may be the relaxed sort, but when the time comes he is as intent as anyone on this roster, and Jeff Maverick is no different.
Dean Nathaniel; That was an unusually focused promo from Ethan Sebastian.
Robert Purcell; There's a time and a place to relax, Dean, and it isn't inside a wrestling ring. Ethan knows when to put up a fight, and tonight is one of those nights. That doesn't mean he has to sweat over the odd defeat. He cares, but not so much that he's gonna let it drag him down. It's refreshing to see that at least one person knows it isn't the be-all end-all.
Dean Nathaniel; Of course that won't stop him kicking the crap out of people when he has to, and Kid Kaos found that out last week, to his misfortune. Are we gonna see similar results tonight Robert?
Robert Purcell; I sure hope so.
Each time the words 'the watcher' are spoken, a quarter of the arenas lights go out. Once they are all out, the spotlights on the stage come on, and all you can see is the front of the entrance. Kid Kaos comes out and points to the crowd to see which side is louder, moving towards the louder side of the crowd. He runs into the crowd through the stands, standing up and raising his hands, fists clenched. He runs down to the ring, hops the barrier, and slides into the ring. He runs across the ring and climbs to the middle turnbuckle, and 'pops his collar'. He takes off his jersey and throws it to the side, then tosses his du-rag into the crowd as the music dies. Dean Nathaniel; Well, Kid Kaos is getting something of a reputation around here. I've heard one or two people call him cocky, but he has all the tools to back it up. Just one of the many great talents on this roster. Robert Purcell; You're right, this kid is cocky, and I hope it comes back to haunt him.The crowd waits in silence, but the quiet is soon broken as a huge blue pyro explodes in front of the stage. The music goes straight into the chorus of "Learn To Fly" by Foo Fighters, and the crowd let out a brief pop for the entrance of Ethan Sebastian. He walks out onto the stage, staring out at the crowd, and making a few cocky comments as he swaggers down the aisle. Blue lights flash from the light staging above the ring as he steps onto the apron and stands facing outwards, smiling arrogantly, before turning and stepping into the ring. He swaggers over to the turnbuckle and raises his hands up slowly, before the lights and music die and he climbs down, pacing around the canvas.
Robert Purcell; Well I gotta admit, I like this guy! I hope he beats Kaos tonight, teach him a lesson!
Dean Nathaniel; Well I don't necessarily agree with what you said, but I do think this will be a great contest, full of action! The bell rings for the match to get underway, and both Kaos and Sebastian walk to the center of the ring to eyeball one another. They both lock stares and start talking trash to each other, and there is a buzz in the crowd as Kaos pushes Sebastian. Sebastian retaliates with a cheap shot, spitting in Kaos face and following it up with a cheap right hand to the jaw. Kaos falls into the corner, and Sebastian delivers a knife-edge chop. Ethan goes for the chop again, but Kaos ducks out of the way, and Kaos dropkicks Ethan in the back, sending him tumbling to the outside.
Dean Nathaniel; An even start here from these two competitors. Kaos will be hoping to capitalise on Ethan's temporary lack of focus here, Sebastian on the outside as we speak.Kid Kaos bounces off the ropes from the other side of the ring and runs towards Ethan, but he stops when he sees Ethan move. Kaos leans between the top and second rope and tries to grab Ethan, but Ethan hits him with a thrust to the throat, then chokes Kaos out on the second rope. Ethan slowly climbs into the ring and starts stomping Kaos into the ground, aiming a few kicks towards Kaos' bad knee. Kaos gets pulled to his feet by Ethan, who attempts to deliver a suplex, but Kaos squirms out halfway through and delivers a reverse DDT on the way down!
Robert Purcell; I must admit I was quite impressed by Kaos the...oh wait, it's faded.Kaos quickly picks up Ethan and whips him into the corner. Kaos climbs to the second rope and digs 10 punches into the head of Ethan, the crowd counting along. After the punches he drops down, following the shots up with a monkey flip. Kaos walks over and grabs Sebastian by the head, but Sebastian surprises him with a low blow! The referee is blind to the move as Ethan pulls himself up, drilling Kaos with a belly to belly suplex! He quickly walks over and grabs Kaos by the leg, dragging him into the centre of the ring. He attempts a figure four, but Kaos kicks him away. Kaos gets up as Sebastian comes back towards him, attempting a kick to the midsection, but Ethan catches the foot, raising Kaos up and dropping him leg-first across Ethan's own knee! Sebastian makes a cover, but Kaos gets the shoulder up at the very last.
Dean Nathaniel; Sebastian was close there!Ethan seems to get a little annoyed by the referees call, briefly questioning his ability. While Sebastian's back is turned, Kaos quickly drags himself up on to his feet, and shakes out the cobwebs. Kaos grabs Ethan on the shoulder, but Ethan spins around quickly and connects with a right hand. Ethan whips Kaos into the rope and throws himself off the other, but both men connect with simultaneous clotheslines! The referee begins to count both men down, but Ethan rolls across to make a cover. The referee drops to count, but Kaos again kicks out!
Robert Purcell; How is Kaos surviving all this? Dean Nathaniel; I don't know Robert, Ethan Sebastian has hardly let up in this contest! Kaos has a lot of heart though, if this match is anything to go by!Kaos gets back up again, meeting Ethan with a big right hand. He hits the ropes quickly, running towards Ethan as Sebastian rests on one knee, then hits him with a hurracanrana! Kaos holds on to Ethan's head with his legs as he drops, handing out a flurry of punches to his opponent. Ethan is dazed, and Kaos goes to the top rope for a high impact manoeuvre. Kaos jumps forward and goes for the Kaos Drop, but Ethan rolls out of the way, and Kaos jarrs his knee across the canvas! He quickly hops up, hobbling on the damaged knee, and Sebastian sees the opportunity to capitalise. He hits the ropes behind Kaos and dives forward with a chopblock, knocking Kaos down. Ethan stands up and watches, laughing as Kaos tries to drag himself to his feet.
Dean Nathaniel; Sebastian seems to be taking too much joy from watching Kaos hobble around.
Robert Purcell; All he needs to do now is find a way to take advantage, and Kaos doesn't stand a chance!
Ethan quickly grabs Kaos by the leg, spinning around it and dropping into a figure four leglock! He wrenches back, damaging Kaos' leg intensely with every passing second of the hold! The crowd rallies behind Kaos, who seems to have no way out of the hold but to drag himself across the ring! Sebastian struggles against him, trying to keep him in the centre of the ring.
Dean Nathaniel; This is the move that Jeff Maverick locked in last week, Robert! Kaos managed to free himself, but he seems to be struggling to do the same thing with Sebastian!
Kid Kaos begins to get a head of steam, working his way quickly towards the ropes. Kaos finally reaches out and grasps the top rope, the crowd cheering as he manages to escape the hold! Sebastian gets up and walks over to grab Kaos, but Kaos counters with a rollup! The fans sense a victory as the referee counts one, two, shoulder up! Kaos' fans sigh in disappointment as both men get up, and Kaos levels Sebastian with a quick kick to the stomach. Suddenly Jeff Maverick appears at ringside with a chair in hand, out of sight of the referee! He slides a chair onto the apron and runs to another side of the ring, climbing onto the apron.
Dean Nathaniel; This can't be good for Kid Kaos!
Robert Purcell; Well he'd better keep his eye on the ball!
Kaos is briefly distracted by Maverick, and Sebastian capitalises with a low blow! Kaos releases the headlock and staggers away slightly holding his groin in pain, as Sebastian scurries across to the chair. Kaos turns around, and Sebastian smashes the chair into his knee, tossing it away as Maverick gets down from the apron! He grabs the leg and spins into another figure four leglock, dead centre of the ring, leaving Kaos with virtually no way of escape! The referee asks Kaos if he wants to quit, and after a few seconds the pain proves too much! Kaos taps out!
Dean Nathaniel; Ethan Sebastian has won this match, but I doubt even he can take pride in this win! Kid Kaos just got totally screwed out of this contest, both by Jeff Maverick and Ethan Sebastian!
Robert Purcell; That was a hell of a ploy by these two! That referee must be stupid not to realise Sebastian was trying - and succeding - to distract his attention! If these two continue to get away with stunts like that, before too long they'll be walking around with a gold strap or two around their waists!
Sebastian and Maverick walk up the ramp, laughing at Kaos' plight in the match as the beaten man stares at them angrily from the ring. The crowd jeer intensely as they leave stage, Kaos finally managing to pick himself up and hobble away from ringside.
Dean Nathaniel; Kaos doesn't look too pleased.
Robert Purcell; Of course not, he's just left his kneecap welded to a steel chair!
Dean Nathaniel; Well it'll be interesting to see if he can recover fully before next weeks battle royal; otherwise that bad knee might severely hinder his chances of going to Origins with a title shot.
The lights in the arena go out suddenly, and the fans begin to wonder what's going on. Suddenly a voice on the sound system bellows the words "I am the greatest unstoppable force walking", and flames shoot out of the ramp as the drums kick in to the tune of "Stupify" by Disturbed. Seven makes his way out onto the stage staring with evil at the fans, who are jeering the newcomer. Seven gets on the apron and steps over the top rope, then asks for a mic and begins to speak as the music and the jeers eventually die down.
Seven; The time for talking is nearly over. It's almost time to shut up and begin the onslaught that will be taking place very shortly...when 10 other superstars come face to face with the biggest, baddest, evil superstar to make a habit of putting their asses in the emergency room. For years I have been feared by all, and tonight will be no different. Tonight I am going to prove once again just why I am pure evil. But you know what, I am not going to make this a fast suffering, no no. I am going to make you all suffer, you will suffer at the hands of the greatest force in Creation Wrestling, you will all suffer the same fate at the hands of yours truly.
The fans begin to boo loudly at the words of the self-titled 'Dark Angel', taking advantage of his pause in thought as he stares around at the fans with contempt.
Seven; But you know what, I did not come out here to amuse you. No, I came out here to deliver a fair warning to all of those pussies out there who think that they will be going after the Creation Heavyweight Championship. No-one is greater than the Dark Angel, no-one is greater than Seven, and its going to stay that way, because I am going to be the one to lead the greatest rampage seen in the wrestling business. Creation Wrestling has seen nothing as vicious, nothing as cruel, and nothing as evil as yours truly, and I promise you, even they haven't seen anything yet. Just wait until later on, when I am the one left standing, and the one to go on to have the greatest championship run anyone has ever seen. I challenge each and every one of you pussies in the back to throw me over the top rope, and prevent me from doing what I do best - kick ass, and laugh later.
Seven throws the mic down and exits the ring, the fans jeering, and a few at ringside howling the odd cuss at him as he walks up the ramp, disappearing from sight.
Dean Nathaniel; Gets to the point, doesn't he?
Robert Purcell; Seven is a man of few words, Dean. He's the kind of guy who lets his actions do all the talking, and all power to him.
Dean Nathaniel; Well he's up against the best competition money can buy when he steps into that ring later on, vicious or not. He'll have his work cut out as much as anyone in that battle royal - or the other, for that matter.
The arena falls into darkness, and the crowd jeer as Crimson gets ready to hit the ring. A huge ball of pyro drops from the ceiling and hits the ramp, and "Get Inside" hits as Crimson rises up through the ring of fire now on the stage. He walks down to the ring slowly, standing on the apron and looking out at the crowd. He raises his arms into the air and brings them back down, pyro exploding from the ringposts as the lights come up. He climbs into the ring and onto the turnbuckle, greeting nothing but jeers as he poses. He climbs down and sheds his jacket as the music dies to a close.
Dean Nathaniel; We ought to be treated to quite an interesting contest here. Crimson will be well up for this contest after his win over Johnny Foreigner last week, but I'm more interested in how Dustin Cage will react to the events of last weeks main event. Cage is being cited as one of the top guys in the federation at this juncture, and if he's going to live up to the hype, he needs to start getting wins under his belt, and now's as good a time as any.
Robert Purcell; He needs to stop focusing on being Mr Television and get on with being a wrestler.
A loud firework explodes on the stage, and "Elevation" by U2 blasts through the arena as Dustin Cage walks out onto the stage. He walks to both sides of the stage and points out at the fans, before turning and walking quickly to the ring as he shouts to the fans sat by the aisle. He rolls into the ring and climbs the near turnbuckle, raising his arms into the air. He jumps down into the ring and waits as his music dies down. Crimson immediately goes on the offensive, and the bell is rung as Crimson backs Cage into the corner. He hammers him with right hands, alternating the harsh blows with sharp knife-edge chops. Cage quickly begins to fight back, putting Crimson on the back foot with a rally of punches as the crowd gets behind him.
Dean Nathaniel; Cage has the fans on his side, that's for sure!
Robert Purcell; Don't get me started on the fans. I've said it before and I'll say it again; they don't know the meaning of true talent! In a sensible world Crimson would be a fan favourite, but what does he get? Nothing but jeers!
Cage finally backs Crimson up against the ropes with a big punch, advancing and grasping Crimson's wrist. He sends the big man running across the canvas, catching him square on the nose with a dropkick. Cage gets up quickly and throws his arms up, rallying the fans as he beckons Crimson back to his feet. He delivers a kick and a few right hands as Crimson rests on one knee, before backing into the ropes. He runs back and Crimson stands up, attempting to floor him with a clothesline, but Dustin slides through his legs and stands up, quickly catching Crimson by the arms and crossing them across his chest. Dustin sits down, dragging Crimson back and dropping him backwards into the canvas with a reverse takedown.
Dean Nathaniel; Dustin Cage is using his speed to his advantage in the early moments of this matchup. He's got to keep Crimson off his feet, stop him from utilising those big moves.
Robert Purcell; Crimson may be a big man but he's no slouch. He proved that last week.
Cage gets up, Crimson having kicked out of a pin attempt. He quickly hits the ropes and snaps forward with a running legdrop, but Crimson sits up and gets well out of the way. He gets up and grabs Cage as he stands up, delivering clubbing blows to the upper back. Cage drops to one knee under the force of the forearms, but Crimson hauls him back up and throws him into the corner. He charges in and delivers a clothesline, backing away as Cage staggers slightly forward. Crimson hits a combo of punches, an uppercut sending Cage falling back into the corner. Crimson backs up again as Cage staggers forward, grasping him around the midsection and delivering a sidewalk slam. He quickly hooks the leg, but Dustin gets his shoulder up with ease.
Robert Purcell; Crimson certainly put Dustin Cage in his place!
Dean Nathaniel; That he did, with that sidewalk slam. Crimson seems to have more strength to him than meets the eye.
Dustin gets up slowly as Crimson looks out at the crowd momentarily, before walking back over to Cage and delivering a few blows to the top of the head. Cage picks himself up and begins to fight Crimson off with right hands, the crowd again rallying in support, but Crimson delivers a knee to the midsection, doubling Cage over, and quickly planting him with a DDT. He copies Dustin's earlier attempt at a running legdrop, nailing Cage across the throat with a stiff legdrop. He makes a cover, but Dustin kicks out again, to the joy of the crowd. Crimson looks up at the referee again and shakes his head, getting up and grabbing Dustin by the head. He drags Cage into the corner, barging his shoulder into Dustin a few times, before wrapping his hands around Dustin's neck and choking him. The referee counts a quick five, and Crimson releases the hold.
Dean Nathaniel; Crimson doesn't seem to be paying much attention to the rules.
Robert Purcell; Well that's only because the referee is doing such a bad job upholding them.
Crimson takes Cage into the middle of the near ropes, whipping him across the ring. He sets for a Cobra clutch, grabbing Dustin by the arm, but Cage drops to the ground with a jawbreaker. He gets back up quickly and spins facing Crimson, catching him around the neck, and turning into a falling neckbreaker. He looks out at the crowd and raises an arm, the fans cheering as he seems to signal for the end of the match.
Dean Nathaniel; Dustin smells blood, Robert!
Dustin stalks Crimson as he gets up. Crimson turns around, and Dustin catches him by the leg. He hooks his arm around Crimson's head, setting up for the Fisherman DDT, but Crimson uses his other arm to jab Dustin in the eye with his thumb, out of the referees view! The fans jeer as Dustin releases the hold, the referee none the wiser to what just happened. Crimson looks to take advantage, grabbing Dustin, and setting him up for Total Carnage! He grabs Dustin by the head and lifts him up, delivering a powerbomb! The fans jeer as he hauls Dustin up for the second part of the move, the Jackknife, but Dustin rolls forward and pins Crimson's shoulders to the mat with a victory roll! The referee drops and counts one, two, three! The bell rings, and Dustin rolls away abruptly, the crowd cheering that surprise win!
Dean Nathaniel; Crimson didn't expect that!
Robert Purcell; I don't think anyone did!
Dean Nathaniel; Well that's certainly going to be something of a confidence booster for Dustin Cage headed into next weeks battle royal match! I can't imagine Crimson will be too happy with that outcome!
Robert Purcell; If anything, Dustin Cage just gave Crimson a reason to throw his ass over the top rope next week!
Dean Nathaniel; Well we'll see about that, I don't think either Cage will go without a fight!
As Dustin backs up the ramp celebrating the win, the cameras head backstage, where we see Katie Robinson getting herself a coffee. She is approached by fellow Creation Wrestling interviewer Paul Castle.
Paul Castle; So any luck on the El Kabong story, toots?
Katie Robinson; Not yet, but I'm working on it.
Paul Castle; C'mon, Katie! I would have had that fool confessing last week at the latest! Of course, you're not quite the talented and gifted journalist that I, Paul Castle, am, but I would be willing to give you some free lessons...
Katie Robinson; The only lessons I'm interested in is how to avoid worms like you!
Paul Castle; Fine, suit yourself. Reject my expertise. But I tell you this, the first chance I get to bust in on this El Kabong Jr story...I'm gonna take it!
Castle marches off and Katie shakes her head in disgust at him. Suddenly a voice comes from behind her that makes her jolt and spill her coffee, and the crowd cheer as El Kabong Jr appears in shot.
El Kabong Jr; Citizen Robinson!
Katie Robinson; Watch out!
El Kabong Jr; Oh, my apologies, Citizen Robinson, but I thought perhaps you'd like a burrito?
Sure enough, El Kabong Jr has a bag full of Taco Bell food in his hands. Katie Robinson shakes her head, both in saying 'no thanks', and in despair at Kabong's antics.
Katie Robinson; No thanks, I can do without the gas. But you could give me a quick interview before your Battle Royal entree.
El Kabong Jr; Muy bien! I'll give you a super duper interview of spectacular preportions, to make up for the terrible loss of your coffee! Ahem...citizens of Creation Wrestling! You do not deserve a creep like Eleven to be your first Champion!
Katie Robinson; Seven. His name is Seven...
El Kabong Jr; Right, right! Anyway, you don't deserve nincompoops like Billy The Brilliant or Kris Kraven, who are too busy riding the dark and spooky coat-tails of that big blue meanie Bane! What you, the faithful of the professional wrestling world deserve, is nothing less than a hero! One who promises to be faithful, true, and honest regardless of the situation!
Katie Robinson;"Honest?
El Kabong Jr; Yes! Honest as in I tell the truth when I say that I'm the guy who's gonna take the Battle Royal tonight! Despite my inexperience, despite being in a relatively new career, I will show everyone moves and grooves expected of an old pro! And when the smoke clears and the battle's done, you're gonna see that it's me, the Looney Luchadore, the Master of Lucha Libre, the Original...um, Originally Bueno Amigo on top and on his way to his first Heavyweight Title! OLE!
Kabong hands Katie the food, then he strikes a superpose and dashes off stage left! Katie shakes her head in amusement, until she realizes that Kabong has left her with all the food.
Katie Robinson; Hey! Wait a second! Come back here!
The arena quickly dims down to black as an untempo sound hits the speakers. Grey flares lining the stage ignite, prompting "Sympathy For The Devil" by The Rolling Stones to hit, and causing the audience to react with a chorus of jeers. Lucian Valerio calmly walks onto the stage as the lights regain their composure, and once again illuminate the arena. Valerio looks around at the crowd, before rubbing the side of his nose, and craftfully keeping his middle finger up at the nearby fans. He trots down the ramp, smirking the entire way down. Lucian walks to and up the steel ringsteps one at a time, before crossing the ring apron and slipping into the ring, awaiting his opponents.
Dean Nathaniel; Lucian Valerio came away from last weeks show with a somewhat cheap victory over Jack Impact, but this is one match you can't cheat your way into winning! If those feet touch the ground, you are out of there!
Robert Purcell; Valerio doesn't need to cheat, Dean. He has plenty of what it takes not only to win this match, but to become the first Heavyweight Champion. Just you wait and see.
Blue and red lights flash in beat with "(A) Touch Sensitive" by Super Furry Animals as Jack Impact and Johnny Foreigner walk out. Jack Impact stands with his hands in the air as Foreigner waves around the flag of China. They walk to the ring side by side as Jack Impact smiles a weird smile, and Johnny Foreigner looks on unemotionally. They climb in the ring, and Jack Impact paces around as Johnny Foreigner looks into the crowd. A couple of referees stand inside the ring, keeping the participants apart before the bell is rung. Valerio laughs to himself as Jack ignores him, instead acknowledging the crowd.
Dean Nathaniel; Jack Impact is looking quite focused here tonight, Robert. I can't say the same for Valerio.
Robert Purcell; Valerio doesn't need focus, Dean. His talent more than makes up for his short attention span.
The lights flicker on and off as a haunting piano melody plays softly out of the loudspeakers. The tune comes to an end and the lights go red as "Breath" by Prodigy blasts out of the sound system. Billy The Brilliant appears from behind the curtain to a chorus of boos. He spits and taunts at the crowd, who let out a small cheer as Kris Kraven appears. Bane follows them, looking out at the fans with a sneer as the two men walk down to the ring, looking focused as pyro goes off behind them. BTB slides into the ring and jumps around as Kraven rolls in and looks out to the crowd with a confused look. The lights return to normal and the music fades.
Dean Nathaniel; I wondered what part Bane might have to play here tonight, Robert.
Robert Purcell; This is purely a tactical move, Dean. Bane being at ringside allows him to influence this match; he can help one of his pals to win this battle royal, and if they do, Bane is going to be laughing all the way to the title when he wins next week!
Dean Nathaniel; That's an interesting idea, Robert, but does Bane have that much power over The Bane-Shees? What's to say, hypothetically, that they would lay down for Bane?
Robert Purcell; Because otherwise he'd kick their ass.
"Stupify" by Disturbed hits and the lights in the arena go out. Flames burst up from the entrance ramp, and Seven walks slowly down to the ring, concentrating focus on his next 'victim'. He gets onto the apron and steps over the top rope as the opening riff of "Hate To Say I Told You So" by The Hives hits the PA, and out comes the man everyone knows and loves as Rude Boy, or by his current alias, El Kabong Jr. He stands on the ramp and poses in a superhero type way, right before running to the ring and posing some more while the fans begin a Rude Boy chant, which seems to confuse him tremendously.
Dean Nathaniel; El Kabong Jr has some unfinished business with Bane here tonight, Robert.
Robert Purcell; And apparently he's not forgotten.
El Kabong Jr and Bane talk trash to one another, Kris Kraven keeping a close eye on developments as the lights flicker until there is darkness around the arena. A dark figure appears on the video screen and the sounds of footsteps echo throughout the arena. "King Of My World" by Saliva begins to play out, as smoke rises on top of the stage. The lights flicker on and off again as the figure of Nationwide walks through the smoke, with a sledgehammer in his right hand. As he walks down the ramp, he looks out into the crowd and begins to trash talk as he climbs up the ring steps and enters the squared circle to a hostile reception from the crowd.
Dean Nathaniel; What of Nationwide tonight, Robert?
Robert Purcell; I'd like to say he'd win, Dean, but if he's in any sort of form like last week, he's going to find it tough. I hope the old Nationwide has turned up today; he'll hand this lot's asses to them faster than you can say 'chocolate biscuits'.
The lights around the entrance dim as jungle sounds fill the arena, accompanied by images of Brazil on the video screen. "Roots Bloody Roots" erupts and tribal light patterns swirl across the entrance, before turning to yellow and green strobes as Marcello Dias and Angelina walk out onto the top of the ramp. Dias locks his eyes on his opponent, before taking off down the rampway and diving into the ring, holding the ropes open for Angelina. Angelina poses on one side of the ring as Dias assumes a Capoeira stance, psyching himself out for the beginning of the contest. The majority of the other competitors focus on him, the referees still keeping a close eye on things as Angelina whispers something to Dias, looking around warily.
Dean Nathaniel; Well here we have Marcello Dias, Robert! A lot of people are looking at him as one of the main men.
Robert Purcell; Including Angelina, apparently. How these two have never hooked up I'll never know; well, least not publicly. One thing's for sure, he'll have to keep a close eye on her.
Dean Nathaniel; I think she can hold her own, Robert.
Robert Purcell; In a one on one, maybe, but this is a battle royal, and she's in there with ten men out to destroy anything that gets in their way, including her!
A neon green light covers the stage, and two spotlights move from the back of the arena, meeting on the stage. Twin pyros blow towards the roof, and "Bones" by Alice In Chains hits. The capacity crowd goes nuts for Miami Missile as he walks out through the curtain, Van Halen Blake following him with a bag slung over his shoulder. He stands on the top of the stage and poses briefly, then throws his arms into the air and sets off more pyro. He makes his way to the ring with a cocky smile on his face, then jumps onto the apron and climbs in. He poses for the fans with his arms outstretched.
Dean Nathaniel; The crowd are giving Miami Missile one hell of a reception here, Robert! I don't think even he would have expected a reaction like this from the Vancouver crowd! He looks a little shocked!
Robert Purcell; Well he's got it, by some way or another. Maybe they're cheering for the kid.
Dean Nathaniel; Van Halen does certainly seem popular with a few of the fans at ringside, Robert. He seems to be getting a few high fives - or should that be low fives - from the crowd! Maybe they're after the contents of his bag!
Miami's music dies down quickly as the bell rings. The Bane-Shees immediately converge on El Kabong Jr, lifting him up by a leg each and charging him back into the corner with some force. Jack And Johnny fight off the advances of Lucian Valerio, taking it in turns to deliver right hands, before flooring him with a double clothesline. Seven clotheslines Marcello Dias into Angelina, knocking both down temporarily, and turns his attention to Jack And Johnny. Nationwide and Miami Missile go at it, trading right hands, until Miami counters a shot and floors Nationwide with a drop toehold. The Bane-Shees continue the beating on El Kabong Jr, Bane shouting instructions to them from close by as El Kabong Jr does his best to fight back.
Dean Nathaniel; The Bane-Shees are certainly concentrating their efforts on El Kabong Jr in this contest, at least in the early going, and likely in no small part thanks to Bane! I think it's obvious Bane feels threatened by El Kabong Jr's abilities, to some degree!
El Kabong finally manages to get Kraven off his back with an elbow to the forehead, before jumping up in the corner. He grasps Billy around the neck and rests his feet on his knees, spinning around and delivering a monkey flip. The crowd cheer his agility, but boo quite ominously when he gets floored by Lucian Valerio. Jack And Johnny turn away from Seven, following a double suplex, and immediately grab Valerio, whipping him into the ropes. The tag team attempt a double back body drop, but Valerio counters with a DDT on both men! Miami Missile and Nationwide continue their exchange, Nationwide now backing Miami into the corner and delivering chops, stinging the chest of Miami as he reels from the impact.
Dean Nathaniel; Nationwide and Miami seem to be somewhat focused on one another at this point!
Robert Purcell; Old habits die hard, Dean!
Dias and Angelina turn their attention to Lucian Valerio, Dias whipping him into the ropes. He follows up with a sleeper hold, locking him in the move as Angelina delivers a few right hands, before dropping Valerio with the Pescotapa. Angelina turns around, only to be met by an explosive spear from Nationwide. He gets up and laughs, but his joy is quickly ended when Dias catches him around the upper body, delivering a belly to belly suplex. Billy The Brilliant picks himself up and takes over where Nationwide left off, kicking Miami in the corner as El Kabong Jr fights off Kris Kraven once more, knocking him on his ass with a superkick, connecting smack on the chin.
Robert Purcell; Tell me, Dean, how long has the superkick been a move of lucha libre?
Dean Nathaniel; Let's not get into that now Robert, there's a lot going on in that ring at the moment!
Seven is back up, and immediately sets to attacking El Kabong Jr. He whips Kabong into the ropes and looks for a big boot, which El Kabong manages to avoid with a slide. He springs to his feet and jumps up, looking for a DDT, but Seven blocks the move, grasping Kabong around the shoulders and delivering a Rock Bottom! The crowd jeer as Seven stands up, turning around to square off with Jack Impact, who is up slightly faster than his tag partner. Impact jars his chin with a right hand, backing Seven against the ropes, as Foreigner walks over to aid. Lucian Valerio gets up and runs towards as they whip Seven across the ring. Seven leapfrogs Valerio, who charges towards Jack And Johnny with an attempted double clothesline, but the twosome sidestep the move, launching Valerio over the top rope, and to the ground!
Dean Nathaniel; I didn't see that coming!
Robert Purcell; I don't think they can see Seven coming either!
Jack And Johnny take a moment to look out at Valerio, but as they do, Seven comes back across the ring and clotheslines the pair of them over the top rope from behind! The crowd turns, jeering as Seven laughs at the two of them. The trio make their exit, leaving eight men in the ring. El Kabong Jr remains down on the ground as Dias continues to attack Nationwide. Miami Missile fights off The Bane-Shees in the corner with right hands. Seven turns back into the ring as Angelina gets up, standing behind her. She staggers backwards into him, turning around, and Seven immediately grabs her by the hair. She thinks quickly, posting her toe sharply between his legs as the crowd laugh.
Robert Purcell; That can't be legal!
Dean Nathaniel; In normal circumstances, it wouldn't, but this is a battle royal! Anything goes inside that ring, Robert, and if a shot in the pills is what Angelina needs to do to survive, there's nothing stopping her!
Robert Purcell; But still...
Angelina walks over to Dias and aids him with Nationwide. The twosome lift Nationwide up onto the top turnbuckle, setting up for a double suplex, but Nationwide manages to counter. He shoves Angelina down with his right hand, and reverse suplexes Dias onto the top rope! He lands groin first across the rope, the crowd gasping both at the situation, and as Dias teeters over the edge of elimination. Nationwide stands himself up as best he can, looking down at Angelina, and seemingly preparing to launch himself, but Dias sees his plans and quickly falls into the ring, shaking the ropes in the process. Nationwide crotches himself across the turnbuckle as Angelina picks herself up. She stands up and looks at Nationwide, then out at the crowd as they will her on.
Dean Nathaniel; Angelina seems to have something in mind for Nationwide!
Angelina runs over to the corner and jumps up, wrapping her legs around Nationwide's head, before rolling sideways with some unbelievable agility! She manages to grasp the top rope as she falls, dragging Nationwide down with her, and sending him to elimination with an amazing frankensteiner! Angelina somehow manages to keep her grip on the top rope, pulling herself back up onto the apron as the crowd give her an ovation for such a manoeuvre! Before she can drag herself back into the ring, however, Seven runs over and barges her off the apron!
Dean Nathaniel; That was just mean!
Robert Purcell; Serves her right for kicking him in the nuts! Now that's how you do retribution!
Dias is back up, and he immediately sets after Seven as El Kabong Jr finally begins to pick himself up. He goes over to where The Bane-Shees are double teaming Miami, spinning Kraven around, and delivering a jawbreaker. Miami finds the strength to take out Billy The Brilliant, knocking him down with an uppercut, before shouting to Van Halen at ringside. The kid quickly runs around, unzipping his bag, and handing Miami a Spiderman comic. Miami shakes his head and passes the comic back, and Van Halen takes out an American football. Miami shrugs and turns around, looking for someone to throw it at, but Van Halen screams and runs away as Bane walks after him. Miami turns around quickly, distracted, giving Billy the chance to sneak up behind him and lift his feet off the ground, dumping him over the top rope!
Dean Nathaniel; I don't believe that! Those are despicable tactics from Bane and The Bane-Shees!
Robert Purcell; Oh come on, they've done worse.
Bane laughs and walks away from Van Halen, ignoring him and turning his mind back to the match as Billy goes over to attack El Kabong Jr once more. Dias has the upper hand over Seven in one corner as Billy The Brilliant beats down on El Kabong in the other. Kris Kraven finally gets up after the jawbreaker, aiding his partner once more with the attack on El Kabong Jr.
Dean Nathaniel; It's a wonder El Kabong Jr has gotten in any offense whatsoever in this match, given how long The Bane-Shees have spent double teaming him.
Robert Purcell; Strength in numbers, Dean, it's a great plan, and it's working!
Without warning El Kabong Jr suddenly finds it in him to fight off both men, hitting right hands. With both men temporarily dazed, Kabong jumps onto the top rope, hitting a springboard moonsault that takes both men out! The crowd cheer, all three men now down on the ground. El Kabong Jr stirs a little, trying to pick himself up as Seven begins to fight Dias out of the corner. He ducks a right hand from Dias and grabs him around the throat, lifting him up, but Dias counters into a hurracanrana! Seven is sent rolling across the ring, and Dias stands up. He turns around, and as he does he bumps into El Kabong Jr. The two men turn and face one another, and the crowd livens up suddenly as the two men face off.
Dean Nathaniel; This oughta be good, Robert!
Robert Purcell; Whenever the two of them decide to get on with the match!
Dias and Kabong stare at one another, and the situation looks fit to explode as they stare down. Seven gets back up and sees the situation, obviously figuring he can take advantage. He runs across and attempts to knock both men down, but they move out of the way. Seven hits the opposing ropes, and on his return he gets dropped by a double uppercut. The Bane-Shees are quickly up, and they take their turn, ambushing Dias and Kabong. The twosome again see it coming, fighting the tag team off with right hands. Bane climbs onto the apron, obviously preparing to do something or other, but finds himself knocked to the ground as Dias and Kabong throw The Bane-Shees right into him! They turn back around as Dias and Kabong charge forward, back body dropping the pair of them over the top! Dias falls to the ground, but Kabong somehow manages to hang onto the top rope!
Dean Nathaniel; Dias is eliminated!
Robert Purcell; But El Kabong Jr is hanging on for dear life! Look at him!
The Bane-Shees look at one another pleased with themselves, as Seven gets up. Seeing all three men near to the ropes, he sees a quick chance to win the battle royal. He runs over and attempts to barge all three men down, but Kabong hauls himself onto the apron just in time, dropping to all fours as Seven barges The Bane-Shees out of the ring! It comes down to the last two, and the crowd is on it's feet as El Kabong slides into the ring, rolling through Seven's legs and picking himself up quickly, making a dash for the opposite ropes. Seven looks to hit the big boot again, but El Kabong ducks the foot, catching it over his shoulder. He sweeps Seven's other leg from under him, levering him to the canvas, before hitting a springboard legdrop!
Dean Nathaniel; This match is drawing to an amazing climax!
Robert Purcell; Bane doesn't look too happy with The Bane-Shees out there, and I don't blame him! This match is becoming El Kabong Jr's to win with every passing second! Come on Seven, do something!
Dean Nathaniel; Well one thing's for sure, if Bane were to win next week, the title match would be no lying down job!
El Kabong springs back to his feet and pumps up the crowd, heading to the top rope. He stands up on the top, but Bane quickly jumps onto the apron. Kabong forfeits the chance to hit Seven, jumping off and knocking Bane down with a dropkick. The referees around ringside do their best to clear the trio away as Seven gets to his feet, grabbing El Kabong Jr and raising him onto his shoulders! He walks over towards the ropes and flings El Kabong Jr over his head, delivering the Retribution! Kabong flies through the air, falling on the wrong side of the top rope. Seven wheels away in celebration, but Kabong shows amazing athleticism once again, managing to hook his arm around the top rope as he falls, and keeping his feet hanging mere inches over the ground!
Dean Nathaniel; How is El Kabong Jr surviving in this contest?
Robert Purcell; I have no idea! Turn around Seven, you haven't won yet! Turn around!
El Kabong Jr manages to grab the rope with his other hand, hauling himself back over the top rope. Seven begins to catch wind of what is going on, turning around as Kabong pulls himself back in. He runs over to finish it once and for all, but El Kabong Jr drops to the ground, pulling down the top rope, and Seven takes the tumble to the outside! The bell sounds, and El Kabong Jr jumps up in celebration as the winner of the battle royal!
Dean Nathaniel; El Kabong Jr! El Kabong Jr has done it! What a show from the luchadore!
Robert Purcell; I don't believe it! God damnit!
El Kabong throws his arms into the air in celebration, the fans going wild for his victory! He walks over and climbs the turnbuckles, standing atop the second rope and posing to the crowd! Seven looks back into the ring disappointedly, shaking his head with a degree of anger and walking away. The camera turns to El Kabong Jr, who looks out into the crowd with a smile, photographs snapping all over the arena as the first official title contender celebrates his win!
