So You Want To Change The World!
So you would like to change the world would you? Well, it doesn't take much to get started! Like most things, setting goals is very important in achieving your desires. Think small.. with big intentions. First off, in order to make any major changes you must have patients and persistence! With out these two virtues one could get lost in a sea of stress. For example, my future goal is to try to change the school systems so that we can bring back programs that have been lost due to budget costs. So I break this down. What subjects would I like to try to bring back? In this case I am focusing on art and music. Why these two? Because they are both proven to increase mental awareness. Over a long term study it has been found that children who are involved in art and music tend to have less of a problem concentrating, staying in school, and staying off drugs. This causes a chain reaction - which in the long term - helps them in life. It creates a better tomorrow for them, their children, and us as well.
Now that I have narrowed down the subjects, next comes choosing the targeted age for children. One would say that the ideal age would be high school - or teens. In some cases this would be a great fight in the shcool system, but not for me. I'm working with preschoolers. Why? Because the age in which the brain devolopes characteristics for the rest of ones life is between the ages of two and five. This is the age that the brain works the hardest in learning and training itself to what will later become their likes, dislikes, needs, wants, desires, and even their life long personality!
To be continued!
