History/ARTWALK
Also called the
aha!Walk
The
History/ARTWALK is good for your mind, body and spirit
Welcome to Fort Lauderdale.  This web site celebrates the
Architecture, History and Art of Fort Lauderdale
(click for BIG VIEW)

The aha!WALK answers those questions you've always wondered about:  "Oh, that's why it's called Broward County"
(for the answer, see the plaque on the north side of the Main Library)
The
aha!WALK helps you have that "Aha!" experience, when you learn who D.C. Alexander was (visit the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society and find out!)
To guide visitors and residents around the Art, Architecture and History of Fort Lauderdale, the highlights of the city are grouped into WALKS.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE H/ARTWalk and the aha!WALK
1.  How should the walk be marked?
2.  Where should it start and end?
3.  What organization should manage the
H/ARTWalk and decide where to place markers?

There are 8 WALKS (currently) that make up the History/ArtWalk System in Fort Lauderdale.  The system is a proposal and your comments are invited.
(A small-scale map shows less detail, but a larger land area. For instance, a USAnational map is a much smaller-scale map than a map showing the details of the City of Fort Lauderdale.  Objects appear larger on a large-scale map.)
